Newcastle v Liverpool. Saturday 5th Dec Sid James Park. Steve McClaren must be wondering if he will still have a job this time next week as the scallies from scouseland pay a visit to the geordie nation. Last time tuffy and his men faced a team managed by Jurgen Klopp, it cost him his job. As his Wolfsburg team was beaten 3-0. So a similar result this weekend (quite a possibility) may well be his last in charge of the barcelona of the north. McClaren has called on the fat controller to back him and trust him, but the patience of the billions in the toon army is running out, and the writing is already on the bedsheets. Will Ashley stick with him? After a 5-1 mauling by the silver fox and his men last time out McClaren has some decisions to make. Does he continue with Colo the clown? Surely Mitrovic will play. What about the ginger Pirlo? Being rather inept, SM needs to get his team working as a team. Last thing he needs is the team falling out with each other.Ala One hope they have is the fact that the last time yosser hughes and clan visited the fog on the tyne it was a 1-0 victory with a goal from Ozone Perez. In a team that contained world superstars such as Sammy Ameobi and Obertan. But having scored just 2 goala and conceding 11 in the last 5 games starting with a 3-0 drubbing of their superior neighbours on Wearside. It has seen a return of just 4 points from 15. And telephone boxes and horsea must be getting nervous. Opponents. The once mighty Liverpool are sitting 6th. A position that they will probably finish in As their glory days are behind them And now they walk alone. Still expect the scallies to be to strong, and another drubbing could be on the cards, if they dont work as a team and their heads drop. My prediction..1-3. McClaren sacked next week. Its hammer time. I predict a riot.
This is much better than Albert's usual attempts. I am a believer in the perverse nature of life, fate and luck and believe we will sneak this one 2-1.
0-6 Public Humiliation - Despite a humiliation, I expect McClaren to keep his job even if Villa, Bournmouth, Sunderland and Norwich all win!
If mclaren changes the team to include marv with colback in the middle, recalls armtrong to play upfront with Mitro plus recalls ferguson to play lb we might have a balanced side. Yes we drop Perez but he is a brilliant options to replace either Armstrong, Sissoko or Wijnaldum. He won't and we will lose. Please note we might lose anyway if he does what I suggest but we will definitely see better. I'm right im arrogant
I'm predicting a tougher game for Liverpool but still expect a defeat. Our players raise their games in the bigger fixtures hoping to attract attention.
I always expect us to have a tough game no matter who we're playing. We're better away from home than at Anfield atm
I'm thinking 1-7 to the Toon. Liverpool will score all 8. I fear that pretty soon we will concede a record.... 9 or 10 I think it is isn't it?
When i was looking through mags v scouser stuff earlier. Im sure i seen you beat them 9-2 in 1934. Maybe they hold a grudge.
You may be right. They are renowned for their long memories. Some can even remember when they last won the league.
