not fair to say that leeds were punching above there weight,my trouble as qpr and your trouble as millwall is that if you or us got to the top of the prem
we would not have the fan base to bring in the money to keep the train going but leeds united can easily get 40 thousand gates
and a sustained run at the top of the prem could see them build a 60 thousand stadium, and yes mighty leeds could fill it
where as when qpr were playing at the white city in the 60s this stadium help 92 thousand but qpr were getting 5000 fans
an yet leeds united brought so many fans to that same stadium they have given us our all time record
of 42 thousand most of those were mighty leeds fans
so you cant say that leeds were punching above there weight they are sleeping giants and with the right manager they could move back to the prem,
but i fear the worst if qpr go up i cant see how we are going to finacially survive with all these new new restrictions
i know chelsea are thinking of knocking down 40 thousand stamford bridge to build a new 60 thousand stadium but that might be why they have poured money into the players they needed
its a difficult one but i would go into the betting shop if i could put on a bet in ten years time leeds will be an established prem side mostly because they can bring in fabulous crowds creating wealth
and in the instance of millwall many people will one day not want to go there because of crowd disturbances

I think so long as we can keep the fans you will be right .
It may come sooner than we think if some Chinese billionaire takes a punt, lets face it a large City with only one club very attractive in my view

I think its fair to say the next owner will be make or break. One more like the past three and the club will be finished. The clock is ticking

They had 10 years of pulling in crowds like that - many moons ago.
Millwall had 25 years of similar large crowds and we were a Div 3 South club at the time.
Time changes though, and our crowds are now much lower as are Leeds.
Now, Leeds are barely getting 20,000 thorough the door and are miles behind the likes of Brighton, Derby, Sheff Wed and Forest just in the Championship.
ANY successful club can attract bigger crowds - Millwall hold the record for number of fans at the old and new Wembley, so you could argue that we are a much bigger sleeping giant than them ;)

let us ta;lk reality here when i left school leeds had terrry cooper at right back,a full england international he was the best in the country at that time at center half jack charlton was not just the best center half in england but he could have been the greatest center half, who ever played on these shores
norman hunter billy bremner johny giles eddie gray peter lorimer alan clarke were all world class players the leeds team should have stayed at the top for 50 years im still trying to fatham out what happened why didnt don revie stay and bring in some more players thats one mystery that ill never know
ive had it suggested that don revie just couldnt bare to sell any of his great players i just dont know what happened surely you leeds fans have the key
because leeds were so far ahead of everyone else it was embarressing,so what do you reckon guys what on earth happened to one of the greatest sides ever developed and olooking back on it i think jack charlton could have took over and still kept the snow ball rolling

I think a lot of our downfall was because we were too successful(had to play too many games), the British press mainly the Southern ones hated us, so did the football authorities and would do little to help with fixtures and in the end Revie kept that side for too long instead of adding younger talent. Also he wanted J.Giles to take over from him as manager, but Bremner wanted the job, so in the end the board went for old big head and the rest is history..<ok>

well im only telling it as it is and in todays moderrn climate i get fed up with arsenal and chelsea winning everything
i would so much love to see leicester city win the title
dont forget when millwall whent up with cascarino and sherringham in the attack they were doing well and at one stage
i remember they were 5th in the league
but players like sherrinham come once in a blue moon forest sold him and they got relegated
i have come on here to put lovely geezer under the cosh i think maybe because im now 61 years of age its time for all us us football fans to stick together
i dont want these air strikes against syria that will do no good at all just make them come to our football grounds and blow up our women and children
its just politicians trying to milk public opion, america have ten super carriers each has 100 planens the yanks could blow syria out of the water why are we involved im only saying what 90 per cent of football fans beleive we need a political
party for football fans because you know what deep down we are all the same,we love watching a peter lorimer rocket hit the top corner of the net or a bobby charlton 30 yarder
LETS ALL GET TOGETHER YORKSHIRE LANCASHIRE LONDON SUFFOLK NORTHOLK CUMBRIA HAMPSHIRE KENT ESSEX
YES THE WHOLE OF ENGLAND PLUS SCOTLAND IRELAND AND WALES WE COULD POLL MILLIONS AT THE POLL BY SAYING BEER IS TO BE SERVED FREE INSIDE FOOTBALL GROUNDS
