Our team was just as crap then Lee and our support was worse, home and away, could get away tickets in them days. For some reason we just expect much more from our team now days.

Agreed, and the training routine disappointed me too. One wee shove! Is that realistic? Someone should be trying to rip his shirt off him right through the routine.
I am old enough to just about remember the great team and the end of the Revie era so it would be fair to say that I have seen more downs than ups. Strangely the times I remember probably most fondly are the early eighties. Yes we were second division and we were for the most part pretty crap however we always seemed to have a star player to give us hope. You know a Sheridan, a Tommy Wright, Ian Baird, George McCluskey, Andy Linigan or Scott Sellars. We had people like Neil Aspin who would die trying rather than give up. That's why I have and maintain the position that the current set up is by far the worst I have ever seen. We have NO good player, nobody to think something good is about to happen. Nobody cares, nobody tries, nobody is good enough. We are crammed full of division three identikit ****e. The entire first team isn't worth £12mill between them.
Just like that, Manchester City land £265m investment from China. That's not far off #lufc's turnover for the past 10 years.
Very very worrying I just cannot see a way out of it. If any of you out there was a good enough footballer to actually play at a profesional level would you play for this club as it stands now. And if you were Byram or cook why would you want to stay and see your career go down the pan When will it all end Just feeling a bit down as just heard that one of my old skippers has just died
Some would say your sad news puts footie in perspective but I know how much our club matters to every one of us and how life seems better when things are going ok. Sorry for your loss, and thanks for doing me the great honour of a reply...
Sorry to hear about your old skipper OSD. In an age (in football) where loyalty means very little, I'm surprised that Cook, Mowatt, Byram etc are still on our books
I think you hit the nail on the head there Glory. The set-up and the widening gap between the leagues are the difference now. Poor set-up at Leeds and the Sky money and Champions League widening the gap each season, leaving many teams far behind and unable to compete. That Citeh investment sums it all up.
The shove was a waste of time, they know it is coming, it happens early on, they are unmarked after that and unchallenged. Did you see his headed attempt.
Have to agree, there was always a couple of names that you could write down first on the team sheet. I thought we were going to have that this year but sadly not. Now first name down means we haven't an alternative.
LeedsLover I see you have been logging on but not posted since the QPR match thread on Sunday. Are you holding back from posting until you have sourced a new avatar
