As always, friendly greetings from daib0, some of you know me a fair bit by now from the Inter-Forum games! Onto our game together on Thursday - and I wondered if I could get a bit of chat going once again to report back to the guys and gals on my forum. Respect always given as our previous collaborations have always proven, so here goes, a few pointers here but any comments (that are reproducible!) always welcome!: A] How was the summer period? Any useful new incoming talented players this season? Could you mention a few of your hot talents to inform the RR members? B] Hardly anything between us so far, both clubs aspire to do bigger things but at the moment just sitting off the pace. Has the season gone to expectations so far? Where do you see yourselves finishing – both head and heart?! C] We Royals are blowing a bit hot and cold but we fans certainly have been a bit wounded by Steve Clarke nearly doing a ‘runner’ to your Fulham neighbours. Confidence in our man has undeniably plummeted. So from a neutral, any thoughts of the Royals of recent times, where are we right now? D] Looking ahead to the game – even if you’re leaving a prediction elsewhere, could you give me just a quick indication of how you see the game going? I would have thought that it might go any way … perhaps I myself would go for a very narrow 1-0 Royals win being at home, shoot me down if you wish! As always, I promise that any snippets used will be credited by reference to your forum, and the individual member in question (chance of Thames Valley fame!). And I can say that as a mod myself on RR, it’s always promised no ‘wind ups’ on our forum. Our match presentation here proves that: http://royalsrendezvous.co.uk/topic/10388837/1 In fact, any questions for us in return, just get back and I’ll do my best lads … Cheers, daib0, and the team on ‘Royals Rendezvous’
D I posted on the Reading 606 which you are more than welcome to use on RR. Ellers A] How was the summer period? Any useful new incoming talented players this season? Could you mention a few of your hot talents to inform the RR members? We have a new Chief executive. B] Hardly anything between us so far, both clubs aspire to do bigger things but at the moment just sitting off the pace. Has the season gone to expectations so far? Where do you see yourselves finishing – both head and heart?! Depends who the manager is. 4 weeks ago you were looking good but then you seemed to implode when Clark was going to Fulham then did the U turn. (strange one that) He would not last if he did that at QPR, so I would get rid of him because he will only move when the right job comes up. Plus he is ex Chelsea and likes a drink. D] Looking ahead to the game – even if you’re leaving a prediction elsewhere, could you give me just a quick indication of how you see the game going? I would have thought that it might go any way … perhaps I myself would go for a very narrow 1-0 Royals win being at home, shoot me down if you wish! As I have said 4 weeks ago I was not confident as you were playing well and we had Ramsey in charge. Now NW is back the team are playing for him. We now have a solid defence and an attack which scores goals when Austin plays. I reckon 0-1 to QPR but would take a draw like 6-6
Couldn't be bothered to make a new thread. I can go to this now- I'm assuming I'll be ok to pay on the door even though the QPR site says we have a small allocation. Reading haven't been silly enough to sell the tickets next to the bit we've taken so far (assuming it won't be close to a sell-out). Can anyone confirm?
I don't know how it works at Reading Watford but seem to remember last time or time before you couldn't buy on night. I might have a spare so i will keep you posted.
Reading home fan ticket info is here, in case it serves anyone ... http://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/art...ns-park-rangers-madejski-stadium-2751999.aspx
I think we have sold 1000 (300) left. keep saying they should not put this fixture on TV and keep it to a Saturday. We would have a great turn out then.
im expecting about 2000 qpr fans to make the short journey, its going to be a proper warnock game this one i think he may put jet into the subs bench and bring him on in the second half im expecting a real goal explosion
Remember the game in 2011? Wayne Routledge scored near the end after someone got sent off. First time we'd ever won at their new stadium.
We always get players sent off at Reading. Happens every time. As away days go I don't really like the Madjetski Stadium. Not enough bars or pubs around and the ground is stuck on that retail site next to B&Q. The only bit of value the fixture had was the small banter re hoops but that is old hat now. Funny club Reading made up of fans who support other teams. Calling themselves R's nd have the audacity to call us 'fakes'? This video sums them up and if we every did anything like this I would dig a hole and hide in it. http://www.theguardian.com/football/video/2015/sep/30/reading-fc-club-song-video
I was there. We really believed we were on the way to the title after that result. "Ten men, we only need ten men....................."
I'd say go for the opinions of the established Royals fans (like my pal SuffolkRoyal) who were there before Coppell's marvellous 106pt-side. Too many young ones then came aboard, but now drift between chelsea, Man U and Royals when we do well. For those who saw Reading in the fourth tier now is still just bliss!!
D should be a good game tomorrow. It will be Colin's last game as manager (his wife is i'll) Colin will want to go out a winner but knowing our luck he may go out even or lose. Then JFH in on Friday. Don't know how that will go but he came because he wants to play attractive football (?) And has been promised a zillion pounds to bring in his own players. Let's hope it ends better than Hughes/Redknapp/Ramsey? Are you going or watching? PS that song is awful.
For your interest lads, here is a big interview I've just done with "Loft for Words" - http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/footba...s/41239/clarke-skating-on-thin-ice--interview
What a classic! I went on the Reading forum (Hob Nob Anyone) to see what they thought about tonight's game and found this gem Chelsea/Royal Member Location: Ascot Re: Predictions - QPR (H) by Chelsea/Royal » 03 Dec 2015 11:58 I can't see past another defeat and woeful performance from a side that knows their manager doesn't want to be there. I am not looking forward to being mocked by a load of brain dead pretend Londoners. Love the name/location and the last bit! What a muppet!
