I see the Christmas bollocks has even started on here now. So I'll join in, in my own little way. I think you'll all agree that the Cheese has it's faults. However, every Christmas Day, something happens that I'm pretty sure doesn't happen at any of your locals. Denice buys a turkey, a beef joint and a pork joint. She also buys everything to go with them - spuds, veg, Yorkshire pudding etc, etc. She then cooks and prepares it all. It's particularly aimed at those who live on their own and don't want to go to the effort of cooking it for themselves. However anyone and everyone is welcome. It's completely free. Not even just regulars. Forget the rat infestation (she cooks it in the kitchen upstairs). I don't think you can really beat that for a true demonstration of 'Christmas Spirit'. What examples do you have?
Got to have the traditional christmas morning visit to the local bonk shop for a chrimbo bonk #festive #traditions
Nice gesture, but I'm sure there's a pay off in the fact that they won't be all rushing home for their lunch, thus putting plenty of dosh in her till. #cynic
Come along and bring the wife and kids, If one of them drinks in the Cambridge, he'll be fine. Denice will even let you all get your heads down for the night
