Team, I’ve HIGH ASPIRATIONS for one running on the Southwell Sod (not Sands) of the morrow. He’ll relish both the rain softened ground and the test of stamina.

You couldn't write this.... Jim Best enters one at Lingfield in the 12.30 called Willshebetrying... its drifted from 20s to 25s so I think we all know the answer to that!!

After a brief hiatus for me, brought on by a recent washout day of no luck whatsoever, I'm looking at a double for Johnson rides @Southwell

    1.15 Singlefarmpayment ( Crosspark the danger ... )
    1.45 Who You For

Also interested to see if Sirop de Menthe gets the treble @Lingfield, 1.30, but the weight differential with Never Says Never has got to be too much, hasn't it?

Would like to side with High Aspirations, Sir Barney; there is the STD factor to consider, but the market appears to agree at the moment.

    (the 3.40 @Wolves looks a good race)

    Off for a run ...

    SJ.

Okay chaps, you know that I do not follow the National Hunt scene so do not shoot the messenger...

Apparently the 9/4 favourite All Set To Go (Paul Nicholls, Sam Twiston-Davies) will win the 2:20 at Southwell.

I see on SportingLife.com that Nicholls has only had two runners at the track in five years and both have won but I will not be getting involved at what looks a short price in a poor race.

He has got solid form over further so it may be a case that he just wasn’t ‘match fit’ enough after an absence of 300+ days. High Aspirations made eye catching progress coming out of the back and down the side and was sitting in a nice 2nd turning in but after jumping the penultimate obstacle stopped to nothing and was pulled up before the last. I’d monitor High Aspirations closely though, pilgrims. Looks one to catch next time.

Meanwhile, if you plan to have a wager later on the card that ground at Southwell does look very, very testing.

Yeah - I reckon he had a good blow at the end of that.

The proof is there for all to see.

Anyone on THE GAY CAVALIER today? Has a very poor record at Wolves, drifting like a barge too! See he is entered on Thursday at Kempton, maybe they wanted to see what mark they might get....

edit....I have backed him (just for the record) but wouldn't want to recommend

    Afternoon folks...

Can someone tell me if there was a late gamble on Illegally Blonde for Giddy and Kirby in the Wolves 3.40? Thought I seen the horse at 6's early today but I see it won at 3/1 or that. Nothing riding on it, I'm just keen to know it was gambled or I saw the 6/1 on another runner in the race.
