If that's not given I #rage and demand the ref is sacked, it would have been the 3rd blatant handball decision in a row he gave against us
Somewhere in my garage I have a VHS recording of that famous derby at Goodison when McAllister scored that free kick from 40 yards with the last kick. There was a penalty given to both sides in that game (Fowler missed ours, I think?). Anyhow, a beaut of moment, with about 5 mins left and we're defending for our lives and down to ten men, and Campbell rifles a screamer right up the arse of Big Dunc, standing like a lamppost in the way. The St End scream penalty, Campbell reacts and calls for a pen... and a totally oblivious Ferguson picks himself up and joins in the chorus, whilst rubbing his sore backside.
Sorry , bit of a computer disliterate. Found it at a perfect angle on "timesoccer.com" Maybe have a look and post it on here for all to see ....if you dare.
The only thing that matters is where his elbow is when the ball strikes it. Two meters my arse , maybe 2 inches either way . And for an official to make a penalty call on whether it struck his elbow in the box from their vantage point is criminal........free kick gents should have been the call ....never mind intentionallity of the defender
Question: if it is a penalty, by the rules should it be a red card? An infringement that denies a goalscoring opportunity is (by the rules) a red card offense. That was a shot on goal. If we took that as a deliberate handball, that is also a deliberate infraction to prevent a goalscoring opportunity. It was an "opportunity" if not destined to go in.
You're unbelievable - I've seen this effort now, and it's even clearer than MoTD. Not that it matters, as he's still 5/6 foot in the box when the ball strikes him (and, yes, he's moving outwards, but that's besides the point) but you do understand that even if it hit his outsrtetched towards the goal arm on the actual line itself, it's still a penalty? The line is 'in' the box - you do understand that, don't you?
To be fair, he's protecting his face there in that the ball could, feasibly, cannon back off the post and take him unawares as he lies on the floor and it rebounds back again off the corner flag, hit a St John's ambulanceman on the running track, ricochet up onto a floodlight, bounce back off the TV gantry and, fall onto a seesaw that makes the man in the diving costume jump into the barrel and cause a mousetrap to fall on him.
Penetration of electromagnetic waves in plasma is quite complex. Plasma is full of electromagnetic fields electrons protons and newtons like. Light may not even penetrate and looks evanescent to an observer.. bit like your magical einstein rings actually #buthowwouldyouknowthat
