So I have read on various other sites and on facebook and in a tweet from Ian Taylor.

This week is the week....we get a new manager

What do we know so far

1 No approach has been made to Burton
2 No approach has been made to JFH
    3 Rowlett is not moving
4 No one has mentioned Tim nice but Dim (hurrah)
    5 Rogers has disappeared
6 Pearson keeps cropping up, but unlikely as there is mutal hatred between him and Hoos and SLF
7 Neil didn't want the job
8 Neil is getting into it the swing of it
    9 Neil wants the job....
10 TF and JFH have are following each other on twitter
11 SLF feels threatened by Neil so doesn't want him to get it (my reading of the situation tbh)

So what is going to happen

    Don't worry Beth. Be happy!

I do think your list of what we know may be wrong though! I can't believe that the club hasn't held talks with other clubs & individuals, with all involved agreeing to keep this secret.

To pick up on point 3 Rowett does want to leave and will cost next to nowt. He said in an interview with Talksport on weekend. Rangers and Fulham jobs were 'excellent opportunities'. As near a come an get me plea that an in work manager can make.

We won't go for him though, he's young, proven, and successful

I've got a bad feeling we'll go for Powell and disrupt the positive momentum that Warnock has started. Rounds of applause for Sandro as an example. He'll get this team performing as it should

I look at it this way.
If TF cocks up again then he and SLF will need to fall on their swords.
The man for the job is and must be NW.
This season can make or break us so I would want a safe pair of hands guiding our ship through dangerous waters.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it

If it is broke, or broken even,
then make sure you retain the receipt, unless you broke it yourself, in which case the receipt ain't no use.

8 and 9 for me too. Thursday could be important for a different reason. A result at Reading and we could start a serious promotion challenge

This all day long for me. I really do hope I'm wrong but sadley have lost all faith in our boardrooms decision making .

I think getting Sir Les in as an unproven and inexperienced dof was just another poor knee-jerk appointment from the board.

Gary Rowett has guided Birmingham City to sixth position in the Championship table

Gary Rowett: Birmingham City boss confirm boss will stay

Birmingham City have confirmed that manager Gary Rowett is staying with the club following recent speculation linking him with QPR and Fulham.

The 41-year-old, who was appointed in October 2014, admitted last week that he was
    "flattered" by interest in him.

But a statement issued by Blues director Panos Pavlakis made clear that Rowett will not be leaving St Andrew's.

"Gary is fully committed to the club and likewise the club is fully committed to him,"
    he said.
"We are all keen to put any uncertainty to bed and look forward to the continuation of the great work Gary has done since his appointment.

"Fans can rest assured that everyone at the club is together as one striving for further improvement and success with Gary at the helm as manager."

Rowett began his managerial career at Burton Albion, but moved to Birmingham following the departure of Lee Clark on a rolling contract.

He helped saved the club from relegation last season and has guided them to sixth place in the Championship table this term.

QPR and Fulham have both been looking for a new manager since early November after parting company with
Chris Ramsey and Kit Symons respectively.

"The board will continue to fully support Gary in every way it can in trying to restore this great club of ours to a position where we all want to be," added Pavlakis.

All that says is the board want to keep him. No quote from Rowet himself on there.

If we were to make an approach he'd take it and they wouldn't be able to stop us

He'd only publicly say otherwise if it was made known to him that we and Fulham were after other managers instead and he wasnt an option

And where is the quote from Rowett stating that he would like to leave Birmingham?

Yes, Birmingham would also be able to stop us. They may, and probably would, choose to accept compensation & release Rowett, but they COULD keep him to his contract & stop him managing in the Football League until the contract expires.

On being linked into Fulham3.33 into the interview, being linked “is a sign of success”

“2 excellent jobs, 2 big jobs… but I’m extremely focussed… did I bat that off well enough ha ha ha”

    http://talksport.com/football/exclu...lham-and-qpr-links-im-focussed-job-birmingham

He clearly wants to progress on to the next rung. He is the best realistic option out there, if we approach them then we can pay Birmingham to buy him out of the contract. Its my understanding that a football manager can resign at any time but a player obviously cant. So what will happen is we will buy him out of his contract and because he is on low wages compensation due will be a low amount.

Where are you getting this rule from that they can stand in his way? In any case, if a manager makes it clear he would like to go then in reality his job is so tainted they have to let him go because it will harm the team. But whats the worse case scenario, we approach Birmingham it doesn’t happen we stay with Colin and look for next best available
