  1. If it was against us, I'd have been angry with the defender for being a pussy. I'd have accepted the decision because the player shouldn't stick his arms out.

Yeah lad an away at Bourenmouth is obviously our biggest game of the season <doh>, they were ****ers but it's called passion. Try travelling 8 hours on a bus to an away and seeing your side score what appears to be a last second winner after being pegged back in the last 10.

I'm sure if United had been the beneficiary of a pen like that you'd have exactly the same opinion btw....lol

Still wouldn't jump on the pitch for a goal against Bournemouth :) The mancs don't get close enough to the opposition box to get pens these days <whistle>

Benteke's highlight package today reminds me of a guy I played with back at Under 15's... when ever ball would roll up to him he would try a fancy little flick...

Benteke did it twice today, once fine it ended up at Lallana who rolled to Ibe (who then took a **** touch which Williams nearly then put into his own net). However the 2nd time, he was on edge of 18 yard box with no defenders around him... only had to control it then had a 1v1 <doh>

Gary Monk - it hit his elbow and you can't have your elbow any further away from your body...

Think he meant closer.. but he was actually right in what he said. His elbow was far away from his body so nailed on pen.

He might say it was harsh out in the pen but I bet behind closed doors he's saying to Taylor, WTF are you doing turning your back on it like that... stand up to it like a man and take it in the face if you have to!

Guilt moaning about Can being too deep and getting the ball off Skrtel & Lovren...

Reason he does it is because the 2 CB's can't pass for toffee Ruud....

Murphy was virtually begging him not to disagree with him <laugh>

  15. Benteke in the first half today was an embarrassment btw. He dived at every opportunity. I know he can go down easily at times but that's the first time I've seen him diving about like that.

Only saw one on MOTD, didn't look like he played very well today.

It's the sort of incident that can go either way. Williams is right to say he'd ask for it if it was the other way around. Every attacker will claim it, every defender will deny it.
Like all teams we have plenty of bad luck- so I'll take the good when it comes our way without any embarrassment.
A soft pen, but the correct decision.

I don't think we played well at all today, btw.

2 shots on target and one of those was the pen.

I think it's safe to say you were pants

  19. It wasn't for the lack of trying. He closed the opposition down and constantly provided movement but there wasn't much space for him with Swansea sitting deep. His touch and decision making were missing so it wasn't his best game overall.
