Ok I wont be inviting you round to mine on Chistmas Day. Great chance to meet up with my brothers though. My Indonesian wife and stepdaughter love it - they have to spend Christmas in UK.
Agreed on that - its become very commercialised. We even have Christmas trees and snow in all the malls here. Its a Muslim country and 95% of the population dont know temperatures colder than 25C.
Nice one mate, enjoy. I'm there in a couple of weeks time, two gigs on consecutive nights...the Fratellis and then Slaves.
7AM meet up with four mates for a ride in one hour ( 250-300 klms ) look for the roads with the most bends, stop somewhere for lunch ( dinner )
Two young blokes newish to the scene, classed as punk. Their debut album was nominated for the 2015 Mercury Prize. I got two tickets for the balcony, £13.50 each. Will feel like an old twat though as most of the crowd will probably be a lot younger than moi. Wouldn't fancy being in the mosh pit for this one <chuckle>
I might be watching Simply Red with the missus and daughter at the Metro Arena on Friday if we can get tickets. I do like a bit of punk though, have watched the Damned this year twice (they were superb), the Stranglers, Buzzcocks, 999, the Rezillos, Angelic Upstarts, and a few more of the old groups.
This is a beel free thread so not going to talk about football - but might extend trip to take in man utd game. Other home games are not going to work.
