I think there's two sides to it. On the one hand, it is interesting to know why the Kardashians are so popular and what influences people to become so obsessed about their lives and what they do each day. On the other hand, I'd much prefer the funding that the university gets to be spent on renovating and expanding the current library that we have. It appears to me that the Vice-Chancellor is trying too hard to get Brunel to be more recognised, when she should really be focusing on why the student satisfaction rate for half of the courses have declined since she's come in.
What is so interesting about the Kardashians (apart from the money), I know quite a few people who behave the same way. We all laugh and shake our heads at them.
I didn't say the Kardashians were interesting. I said it was interesting as to why people are so drawn to them and why people are so interested in their lives. There's a difference.

Well the warmongering ****wits have won - looks like we are going to bomb another country back to the Stone Age. But at least there will be plenty of profit for bae, boeing, eads ect and companies like halilburton to provide security and rebuilding. And of course the oil, gas and pipeline rebuilding contracts on offer - there really is no profit in peace. Shame that the above will kill thousands of innocents, displace millions and make us a much bigger target for terrorist attacks and British men being turned into homegrown extremists
Couldn't agree more with you Smirnoff. There are other ways to solve the problem but then our politicians are in the pockets of the companies that you have mentioned. And it is going to lead to homegrown terrorism.

Saw Farage's pissy fit at the postal voting count today. That **** can't accept that people didn't want a right wing tosspot representing them in parliament.
Ignoring the automatic "let's take the chance to put the boot in on Farage" mentality, it's actually quite an interesting point that has been raised RE how open our electoral system is to fraud when using the postal vote system. In this particular instance it appears an abnormally high level of postal votes was received on the last day. The Electoral Commision (which by definition are supposed to be non-biased and are clearly not a UKIP mouthpiece) have themselves stated that Oldham was an area of particular concern for electoral fraud and stated this last year. So if we look passed the hatred for UKIP and Farage and his comments re how the ethnic changes to our population are changing our electoral system, he has actually raised an incredibly good point about how we conduct elections in this country and how it is open to abuse. It's also worth noting that several UKIP sources including Farage himself have made the point that they wouldn't have won the seat regardless of the fraudulent postal votes they think were included. So as far as not being able to accept they didn't win the seat, that would appear to be nonsense.
