I predict a 1-2 win And for a bit of Sun nights lols lets take a look at Man Yoos amazing record for the past couple of years in this amazing competition
Good opportunity to get Klopp to a SF, but will be a tough ask away to Southampton, though we've had a half decent record there over the last few seasons.
Southampton are bang mid-table, no going up, no going down So the LC will be their main priority and a tough game
The lowest priority imo. Southampton away is never easy and we will have to rest some players I'm sure, but also chance to get Henderson and Sturridge upto fitness. Not too fussed if we don't progress, as we have a busy schedule as it is.
err where is this big squad in terms of defenders as all i can see as cover at the moment is Toure Randall and Enrique if the search team can track him down.
i'm sound i think part of my problem is just the haphazard spending where there appeared to be no relationship between which areas which needed strengthening (or at least bodies adding) and who was actually signed and the problem that has left. having said that sod it lets go for it as that seems to be Klopps way and hope for the best
Exactly, its all we can do. The more games the better, Klopp and his talented team will make the correct selections
It's not just recruitment that the was problem - Klopp is working with the resources and trying to improve them. Not that he has a choice right now but he wants to improve the team by making them better players, not simply buying better players.
I don't agree. Sure, the league and EL are more important but we are four games from lifting the trophy. Four games! What a start that would be for Klopp and it would get the first monkey off his back to boot.
If we had the squad, I would agree. Unfortunately, we have quite a small squad and we have a lot of games over the next month. I think we have 10 games over the next 38 days.
I don't see four games making all that much difference. I'm guessing you want to see us try and win the EL...?
Which is what I thought you would say. Get past Southampton (a game we've got to play regardless) and the two semi-final games are played in January. The final is the final weekend in February. We are already through to the next round of the EL (and committed to playing the last group game). The next round doesn't start until 18 February. So basically, people don't want us to go through or try in this competition because at the time of the final, we'll be competing in three competitions. Of course, this could be four competitions if you add the FA although by the time the LC final and EL knockout games come round we would have had to have played three games so we could be out anyway. Personally, at this stage of the season I'd say the LC is a better prospect than the FA Cup.
I'm sorry but if were still in 4 competitions how on earth are well payed footballers finding time to take part in juggling competitions also.......the world's gone mad
