Can's been superb, Lallana and Ibe started off great but has faded, Firmino seems lost without Coutinho on the pitch and just gives it away all the time. Encouraging opening 25 but very little since. Benteke isn't having fun either, can see Sturridge coming on with 30 to go if there's no change by then.
Hmm a bit painful but we need to be patient. Struggling to create chances when our striker relies on quality crosses, and Firmino can't seem to pass anymore. Positives are Skrtel and Lovren have had little to do but have dealt with everything well. And Can has been excellent in midfield. I hope we can get Sturridge on - would transform our attack. Henderson on for Milner would be nice as well.
As boring and defensive as Swans are the strategy is right. Our most attacking players do best in games where opposition doesn't sit back. We really need Sturridge. A goal for us would really change things though. One goal and we will walk over them.
Benteke needs people who can cross the ball so I don't think Coutinho won't do anything to help him. Agree that we need Sturridge or a Sturridge type striker. Little movement up top.
It's a pattern. Teams like City that gave him space he tore up. Swans stays compact and he doesn't do great. He's more suited to playing against teams trying to attack. If we get a goal and swans have to attack then it should suit him more.
