But I still can't comprehend that a professional football player just cannot pass to his own player. Some of Taylor's passing makes me think he's blind.
That says it all. Britton offering short in acres of space. Williams ignores him, smacks it long to Naughton, overhit, we lose possession. That is why we're rubbish this season. PASS THE BLOODY BALL ALONG THE DECK!
The pattern when we get the ball though is a few short passes, then Liverpool press us which is quickly followed by a long misplaced pass.
Definitely some decent stuff down the right side. Let's get Eder off, shove Ayew up top and bring Monty on the left. Pace on both sides and a strong boy up top who knows how to battle.
Coming into the game more. If we pass the ball instead of lumping it forward there's space to create problems here.
Think Eders deserved his chance tbh. However if it's still the same at 55-60mins then that's the change is make too.
I don't think any of us have seen enough of Tabanou to say if he's any good, but you do have to wonder if he can't get in the team!
I've no issue with lumping the ball forward if we're under the cosh and pressed into it, but I do take issue with long balls when the man playing the pass is under no pressure and Britton is stood 10 yards from him in acres of space. It's frustrating to see us turn down opportunities to pass the ball...it just shouldn't be what we're about. Taylor gets beaten and lets another cross come across...
Never had him down as that type of player. Thought he was more a strong holding up player. Not one to blow over from the faint breeze of a fart.
