Never has an advertising campaign been as accurate as the Marmite one! If I ever make it onto Desert Island Discs I am bringing a jar of the stuff as my luxury item.

'Brown sugar' as your first disc, Dan? Or just a lot of Meatloaf tracks?

Wet, grey and windy here at present, but supposed to perk up later. An English friend is retiring shortly, so today is having a party to celebrate. It is a two hour drive each way, so as it starts at noon and has no fixed time to end, I have kept the day free. :emoticon-0100-smile

Me too. Big marinate fan me. Big toad in the hole fan too. James Masters recipe for the Yorkshire mix is sensational. Best toad I've ever had especially with Wendover Royal sausages.

When I lived in Lincoln I used to go to Porters in Newark for their "Newark sausages" which were a combination of pork, bramley apple and stilton and they were absolutely scrumptious!

Very wet and windy here. Spent the day clearing the kitchen ready for decorators arriving on Wednesday. We are off to France for a couple of weeks so it should all be done by the time we're back!
