Just read on the Official Millwall Site that clubs have agreed to reduce the number of subs from 7 to 5 for league games. Teams with larger squads might have a problem holding on to some of their players if they can't get into the 16 man squad chosen for each game. This could help the teams with smaller budgets like Millwall. What are your thoughts on this change in the rules?
I agree it is good news for us and will stop the richer clubs packing their subs bench with top players meaning managers will have to put a bit more thought into who they pick. Like you say players knowing they wont be getting into a club's 16 man squad will look elsewhere Is this rule just for Championship or will Prem clubs be doing the same? Some good loan players available if they are.
It says Football League Clubs at their EGM at Leicester so I don't think it applies to the Premiership Clubs. Not 100% sure but don't they have a separate governing body?
they probably do, still no guarantee those Prem player would end up with us as I don't want to see any more Bellamy to Cardiff type moves taking place
and a mega shirt sale! who needs a new striker with breaking news like this I might get one though...... http://www.millwallfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10367~2398368,00.html
