That's where you're going wrong. Half of them were dire today. We still should have won even then but when half the side is playing terribly, then its hard. Van gaal has plenty of faults. If you didn't spend your entire time whining like a bitch (its ****ing embarrassing) then you might notice it. Not just me but the others you now claim can't criticise him. It was a tad bit better than PSV's game in that it was more controlled. But I hate it that we never ever seem to shoot from outside the box. Darmian went close when he finally tried one time. Ashley Young tries too hard and we just overall lack that final third push in many games. That's where we miss someone like Herrera who is able to be more adventurous. Rooney tried harder today but still effective enough in my opinion and is handicapping Martial. Losing Shaw has impacted this team more than we've acknowledged.
Definite improvement on midweek but then they couldn't play any worse. To complain that LVG s football as safe and possession minded is to complain about the obvious. The players should be brave and intelligent enough to take responsibility to push forward and to take risks. Like I said after the midweek match it cannot all be laid at LVG s door. These are experienced internationals.
But that is not the LVG way. LVG should give them this freedom. They have been told to play possession minded and boring football.
