Not having a dig... You felt Redfearn was picking favourites, I said back then see what the new guy in does. Do you hand on heart believe Cellino is having no say in team affairs? Has Evans been here long enough to have favourites?
Define competitive! We're competitive in this league. Sometimes. We were competitive in L1. Sometimes. Who EXPECTED promotion from L1, and who simply breathed a sigh of relief that we somehow manged it? I concede that we may have had a better team (some of the time) in L1, but I believe we have a number of very good players this year whocould form the basis of a much better team. They do play like a team, but rarely. They are capable, but there's a missing link called consistency. Where do we find consistency? Not from a loan midfielder, thats for sure. A decent manager will help a lot, but at this stage I'm not sure that Evans is that man. He's played to the gallery too much IMO, ingratiating himself to the fans at the expense of confidence of the players. Claiming we needed 6 players most certainly did nothing for the confidence of the team. We'll need to grit our teeth & see what happens now, at least until January.
If you think we'll be better after tha transfer window in January, you'll be sadly disappointed. Listened to every painful minute of today's debacle and one thing stood out above all else, our midfield was non existent against a piss poor QPR. I doubt any of our current midfield would have gotten into the league one promotion side that fell over the line as you said
Sorry if I was unclear. I do not forsee a magic wand in January. I'm simply saying that until then we've got to make do with what we've got. To me, that's when you find out if you've got a good manager or not.
No dig took Ristac, Redders was playing favourites, talking up his youth like Cook, Mowatt and Byram all time, and now none of'em are living up to Redders bull. I don't believe Cellino is having a say in team selection, if he was Bianchi would be back in side by now, and quite rightly so imo. Can't continually blame Cellino for on field form, between him and the players are several coaches and Evans himself. Had we been riding a crest of a wave, would people be applauding Cellino, or the coach, or saying Cellino had nothing to do with it? I'm not against Evans, not yet any way, but I think he's being too persistent with Mowatt and Cook and should change them to bring about change, something different and a different approach in our midfield.
Can some **** ring Yorkshire water and ask them What they are putting in it in the wetherby and surrounding area. There are two feckers living there that seem to be delirious. Good players my Arse... Only one thing fixes is this and it's not January.
UTTER UTTER GARBAGE. That QPR team were shocking and any half decent team would have taken them to the cleaners and run out 5 or 6 nil winners. So what does that make Leeds. Taylor, good last minute tackles. Bridcut good first half. Very vocal and put his foot in. This mornings Soccer AM Jimmy Bullard slot sums up our last third. Left the earliest ever from a football match at 77 mins so I could get a specific train rather than wait an extra hour. **** off the lot of em.
Atmosphere really poor too. Very flat all around the ground. Minor scuffles outside before the game, no noise from QPR until the goal.
Like I said, I thought Cellino did it right preseason this time around. I could say stop blaming coaches and blame the guy who picks the coaches. I just find it beyond coincidence that we have had so many coaches and they all leave out players like Sloth they all pick Mowatt and allow him to take set pieces. Wootton at RB and Byram not playing (rightly or wrongly) I have no doubt a Cellino decision. Wood not being dropped the same due to the big fee paid. In the past Cellino has worked some strange clauses into players contracts, while I don't believe Cellino writes out a team sheet, I believe he makes the coaches fully aware of who he believes should be playing. The only time he never was when he was banned and had to stay away, we had a small purple streak and what did he do, orchestrate the sacking of Thompson, thinking about it even then there was the Antenucci saga and triguring a clause. Had we been riding a crest of a wave I would have said it was down to Cellino doing things right at the start of the season, appointing the right coach, funding him with the right players. We are not riding any crest, we are actually sinking...
Seriously - you left with over 15 mins left to play? Why not stay and support your team? Surely if we were so poor you still had a chance of equalising, particularly given our generally fragility in the last 20 mins of any game I have a lot of sympathy for the Leeds supporters and the shambles at the club at the moment. We've been through this a number of times, but you can never give up believing I don't think anyone in this division would've put 5 past us today though. You have your keeper to thank for you only conceding one
Evans: "Rosler was targeting top 10. I’m not too sure that’ll be happening. I need to get some tools in my toolbox to make it happen."
