If you look at Thistlecrack's form figures, since his debut he wins every two runs and didn't win on it's last start! But it doesn't mean he'll lose on it's next run! Form figures now read: 3/1/517151-21
Whisper's jumping was awful in that race. Well done those on thistlecrack, he looks like a class stayer.
With Tizzards horses running like they've rockets up their asses is it possible that the performance of his race fit Third Intention (beat 4l by Vibrato Valtat on his reappearance) last week against Vautour puts a different light on that ones performance? Third Intention was beaten 34l last week in third behind Vautour, I think that performance was probably better than it looked on the day. And I'll certainly not underestimate Ptit Zig as I think he'll be winning Grade Ones by the end of this season too.
I watched Vautours run this week expecting a poor finish after some of the stick he got. I thought it was an excellent reappearance in softer than ideal conditions against a race fit rival and that he would come on a tonne for it. I'm not keen to oppose him in the KG at all actually after that. First circuit is the absolute key to him on Boxing Day- just needs to relax before going me through the gears later on.
