First of all they only opened one gate to the car park so Spring Bank and Spring Bank West was a log jam - then to compound matters everyone got touched up by more than willing security staff - apparently GLP kept going to the back of the queue and got searched a few times - then Brucie ****ed up the formation by putting someone who cant use his left foot at left back ( why did he get rid of 3 or 4 left backs in the Summer and not replace them) - then Livermore decided to only pass to the opposition for the first 25 minutes - probably some Malaysian bet or something - then Huddlestone decided to pass to the opposition as well - then Odobajo decided when he run with the ball he would either run it into touch or give away a dead ball -seems like a waste of £3.5 million when we could have had Rosie - then Elmo decided he was only going to balloon his crosses rather than whiz them in - and then everyone decided if they got a shot on goal they were going to **** it up completely - then we all went home although some left a lot earlier than others --- on the plus side Maguire was excellent again
For three years under Bruce we've played a style focused on getting loads of balls in the box. We're quite good at that part. Yet still it doesn't seem to have sunk in that there's ****ing never anyone in the middle.
Apologies, I didn't realise that you were present at the contract negotiations/Rosenior's agent/Bruce's goldfish* *Delete as appropriate.
Maguire will always be slow and cumbersome defensively - the sooner we get stability back with Dawson the better. Having said that, once we were 2 goals down & Derby stopped attacking us, Maguire had a good game going forwards. Defensively I still prefer Bruce Jnr. but Maguire is a much better ball player going forwards than him.
With the players on 4 yellows last week at Bristol and knowing this weeks game against Derby would be a table top clash, We could have played a second string last week and played a better full strength defense this week.
I think some people should watch the game back. Livermores passing was atrocious, every single pass that went further than 2 or 3 yards went straight to the enemy. Diame was ****ing dire and hardly did anything whatsoever, he was barely in the game at all and when he was just gave the ball away cheaply. Huddlestone was poor, uncharacteristically misplaced a few shorter passes and gave the ball away once or twice, but otherwise played some excellent balls which for the starting point for pretty much all our attacks, including the Maloney chance everyone keeps raving about. Elmo, Clucas, Odubajo were absolutely dreadful and our flanks were just out of action, they couldn't offer any support because the rare time they didn't run into touch or pass straight to an enemy the delivery was pathetic, not a single dangerous cross all night. That isn't Huddlestones fault. Take Huddlestone out of that team we'd have been even worse. The only player who did more in Attack was Maloney. Huddlestone didn't slow the game down one bit or cause the rest of the team to lose their basic ability. He has no impact on Clucas' first touch, or Livermores ability to play a pass, Elmo's crossing ability, Odubajo's ability to coordinate his feet, Hernandez' brain or any other of the little things like that which severely let us down tonight and led to that dire performance. It's scapegoating at its ****ing worst. You don't even have reasons to blame him this time you all just blame him for the sake of it. It was Meyler everyone treated like this for the last few years now he's everyone's golden boy ffs.
You're just a silly ****. I'd heard you'd desperately volunteered to do the frisking? Sharon - Likes - Friskingmen?
Would have well chuffed with a draw, and despite some doom-and-gloom from youse thought you did okay; another night and one of Hull's chances goes in and it's a different game. As it was we did the damage first half and sat back. Thorne makes all the difference for us. All the best for the remainder.
Why would I need to be present? That's just not Bruce's job, much like I'm sure the nutrition experts sort out the players' diets, and not Bruce. This is not a video game, the manager doesn't take care of all the minutae at the club.
I'm a little confused here ? Are you all questioning Bruce's ability to manage the club again, or is is just another hissy fit that nothing but a win at L**ds can fix ? Lloyd OUT
The scapegoating thing is out of kilter, everybody knows Tom is a brilliant passer but he's being used out of position in defensive midfield which unbalances us in the centre of the park. It's not just me saying it even the Sky pundits pointed out the failings of the midfield with him in that position at halftime yesterday, thats after 45 minutes not the whole season which we've all seen. I'm surprised you aren't castigating your mate big Bruce for doing it as you never seemed to be much of fan of his previously...
