And what the **** are the commentators talking about? Absolutely waxing lyrical about Derby, we were pretty poor tonight but we were the better team. The way they're talking is as if city hadn't even had a look in.
Yeh, two good teams on display tonight although I fancy us to handle any dips in form better than you, perhaps for the reasons you mention.
He is better with robbo behind him. They link up well and create and defend effectively. Had to adapt tonight and struggled
Exactly what I was thinking, lets face it we played poorly tonight and still dominated them, we created enough chances to win the game but couldn't take them.
remember when aluko first joined 3 year ago he's been on the fringes for the last 2 year, he just doesn't offer anything
We weren't good. We were over-run in midfield in the first half. We could have scored a couple but we didn't. It's a wound but it's not fatal.
Poor decision tonight to bring him on ahead of Snodders, like City Met said here it would have given the crowd a boost and probably the players too with 15 odd minutes to go. Why have him on the bench otherwise
We played similarly to how we did before Livermore's return (alongside Meyler) - a lot of effort but not enough chances. We need to get that groove back. My pick would be Diame back in mid for Hudd and go 4-4-2, with Aluko alongside Hernandez, whom I felt sorry for again tonight. They knew that we wouldn't hurt them down the middle with Hudd's and by proxy Livermore's lack of dynamism.
He's really poor as an impact sub. I think hes a confidence player. he needs a run of games to get that confidence. He's showing **** all coming off the bench so he's never going to get that run. He's in a vicious circle but I still believe there's a player in there.
It's clearly obvious to all but a few, plus Steve Bruce, who made him ****ing captain tonight, ffs, that Huddlestone totally ****s up our balance. Playing Dave at left back didn't help either!
I know people will be dying to blame Huddlestone fit tonight but I don't see how you can, there was absolutely no movement from the two forwards and two wingers. I thought Elmo was ****, literally didn't go past the 18 line once. Odubajo isn't a left back, and Clucas is wasted there, we need a decent backup. All in all still created enough decent chances to be satisfied. Derby had a perfect away game plan and executed it very well tbf. Blip rather than a derailing.
