From Kevin Affleck: Lee Bowyer’s spell coaching the club’s Under-21 side has ended, Watford’s head of academy announced on the night when the Hornets ironically lost their discipline. Bowyer’s chequered past, both on and off the field, had been a concern in the corridors of power at Vicarage Road, which is why no official announcement had been made on the fact he has been working, on a consultancy basis, with the cream of Watford’s scholars and young professionals since the end of September. Bowyer, 38, was absent tonight from the dugout, where he has spent the last six Under-21 games alongside his former teammate and friend Harry Kewell, as Watford crashed out of the Premier League U21 Cup, losing 2-1 to Charlton and seeing Alex Jakubiak and Bernard Mensah sent off for foul and abusive language. please log in to view this image Good to hear that Mgt at the Vic were also concerned about him
Were you meaning in terms of issues for the club or action the club may take? http://www.wdsport.co.uk/2015/11/watford-left-mystified-by-double-under-21-dismissal/
Ighalo and Nyom subs in the team of the year... http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2015/nov/11/premier-league-team-season-so-far BTW if that guy doesn't know why the players were sent off then he must have been looking elsewhere or just don't want to be seeing to blame youngsters for getting themselves dismissed. True we didn't play too badly but think Charlton looked the more dangerous and lively - we only got going with about 10 minutes to go.
I was actually thinking more in terms of what the FA /EPL or whichever governing body this match falls under. I've never heard of such an incident. I don't really think the club has a leg to stand on, however rubbish the decisions - and I know how far my toys fall from the pram when I see these things happen. Reading between the lines I'd say that there were a few contentious decisions not going our way and the players lost their tempers. The thing to remember that abusive language doesn't necessarily have to be foul so he may very well not have sworn at the referee but the choice of words is deemed foul and off he goes. As an aside I know results aren't everything but it doesn't say much for our U21's when they're getting beaten most weeks. Especially seeing as how they had improved with Bowyer being around. I remain unconvinced of the appointment.
Friendly win at Fulham for those not on International duty.. http://www.watfordfc.com/news/artic...-watfordfc-friendly-match-report-2797635.aspx And some training under the lights.. http://www.watfordfc.com/news/article/151111-vicarage-road-training-gallery-2798048.aspx
Watford’s trip to Swansea City has been rescheduled for live coverage on Sky Sports. The Premier League fixture was originally due to be played on Saturday, January 16 but will now take place on Monday, January 18, with an 8pm kick off. However, if either side is involved in an FA Cup third round replay, the game will switch to a noon kick off on Sunday, January 17 but it will still be shown live by Sky.
This was one of the away games I had planned on going to. Alas now it is more likely I shall be aboard the next space shuttle flight to Venus. Subject to FA Cup replays...
So the PL has said that La Marseillais will be played at all games this weekend. Suggest that if you wish to join in you get a bit of practice as it is not easy.
Which players is Flores talking about? http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...deserve_a_chance_to_play_but_haven_t/?ref=rss AG Prodl Paredes Behrami
Ticket prices for Chelsea just announced. Lowest priced adult ticket is...£52 . Tickets for Mini Bloother and myself are £85. That's ridiculous.
What a bloody joke. I know advocating tit for tat is a bit childish but I kind of hope they get charged the same when they come to us.
Not sure how many away tickets you allocate but we almost always take the full quota, your's seem reasonably priced, Arsenal next Sunday are charging a minimum of £57 http://www.canaries.co.uk/news/article/watford-norwich-city-ticket-information-2783948.aspx
What with one thing and another i hadn't got round to buying a ticket for the Norwich game and was going to do it today - it's sold out .
