Do you not find out strange that there are four or five people taking the piss out of your views? Or do you just think people pick on you?
And your last paragraph is completely untrue. Forwards don't become useless if they don't score goals. Its quite small time To think like that. Yes, ultimate strikers get paid to score. But if that's all you're expecting that we're essentially a small club.
People have opinions. Unlike you, I actually respect them. And it means 4/5 people are wrong. And I don't really care to be honest - people get things wrong, as do I. I had abuse when i criticised Milner and Benteke in the summer and have since been proven right. I also said sh*t about Markovic being top class and Rodgers being a talented coach. Funny world
Benteke is in the team to score goals-which he does, so what's the big issue? He might not be the type of player for us in the long term- that's up to the manager- but at the moment he's the best option we have if we can't play the same set-up as we did against City.

The issue is that I want a player who fits our style of play and compliments those around him. Benteke stifles those around - is it a coincidence that Coutinho and Firmino have played much better without him up front? As I said before - he's a 1 in 2 striker. What happens in the games when he doesn't score? Are we just going to accept that he won't offer anything and practically play with 10 men? The striker we need needs to be good off the ball, play with intelligence, makes the right runs. Why? Because they will fit in our with best creative outlets. You're right - he's the best option we have at the moment. Not denying that. All I said was Benteke scored a great goal but aside, he was really poor.
http://www.theguardian.com/football...league-10-things-to-look-out-for-this-weekend 3) Will Klopp get his home comfort? It’s not so much raining as pouring for Garry Monk at the moment. If one win in nine, increasingly disgruntled fans and a board pondering his future weren’t enough, now his No2 seems set to jump ship. Pep Clotet, Monk’s assistant who has been with the club since Michael Laudrup’s time, is at the front of the queue for the vacant Brentford job and reports in south Wales suggest he could join the Bees before the weekend. It’s not ideal preparation for a trip to Anfield, where Jürgen Klopp wants a home Premier League performance to match those his side have been producing away from Merseyside. His two home games as Liverpool manager in the league so far have resulted in a 1-1 draw with Southampton and a 2-1 defeat against Crystal Palace, while away from home they’ve beaten both Manchester City and Chelsea in fine style. Could it be that Klopp’s pressing game is simply better suited to facing the big boys away from home? He won’t have a better chance to prove that’s not the case than against a Swansea side in disarray.
If you can guarantee Coutinho and Firmino fit, available and in form for 50 games a season then yeah maybe we don't need Benteke so much
Itll be interesting if Klopp looks for a striker in the Summer. Benteke may get better under his wing, Klopp may find Sturridges balls in the physio room cupboard...but we can not rely on Firmino and Coutinho to carry us... Ings!!!!
I was too busy eating Turkey to watch the game (that and family over so couldn't anyway) but I presume Firm wasn't given as much space. From previous games I've witnessed that if you pressure him he's not that good but give him space and his talent shines. Needs to work at thinking quicker and reacting to pressure and he'll be good.
