Didnt notice, that rule is true of all dead ball situations though.

Experience in Europe is one of the few #legit criticisms of Rodgers

Surprised the ref didn't notice, he awarded a foul throw against us

    edit: see Tobes' quote

  5. The ball just as to be touched by a teammate first. See the Giggs/Rooney corner from a few years ago, Rooney only rolled it an inch <ok>

Take away Suarez's goals, he still creates. Take away Firmino's skill, he works hard.
Take away Coutinho's vision, he can still beat a man.

Now answer my question - say Benteke can't continue to score worldies (at the end of the day, he misses sitters on a regular basis), please tell me what he offers the team that is meaningful.

You are blinded by goals - just like you were in 13/14 when Skrtel scored around 10 and thought he was a great defender.

It's as if Benteke played well because he scored a goal. Did you even watch his performance?

You're saying Benteke is being forced into our style of play - look at his goals and most of them have come from crosses. We are playing to his style because he can't play any other style.

  9. I'm not arguing any of that but you just said he offers nothing if you take his goals away. HE'S A STRIKER FFS! <laugh>

If you take away Benteke's ability to create a goal from nothing and his link up play which is decent, then all you have is someone who occupies at least one CB thus creating space for someone else

What does he offer? Why can't you answer me? Does his movement create space for others? Does he create chances for others? Does he work hard? Does he win the ball back?

Without his goal you don't win the game.

What's to say someone else playing in his place would have scored more?

Jimmy would have ****ed off Gary Lineker in his prime because his overall contribution wasn't up to scratch <laugh>

Holds the ball up and links play
offers a the threat from set pieces
    provides help defending set pieces

Take away Suarez goals and he becomes a hard working flair player... Take away Messi goals and he becomes the same.

Take away any forwards goals and they become pretty useless. Forwards are in the team to score goals, if they create them as well fine, but if you're forward is creating chances and not scoring, who are they creating chances for?

I'd rather have a forward that will score goals and not create anything, than a team of people that create chances but have no forward to put them away.
