I know nothing about this guy, so expect nothing. Perhaps he'll surprise me. I'm just hoping that the reason Sunderland don't play him is that they would not know a good player if he bit them on the nose.............. but I doubt it.
Good question my friend about 3 weeks normally but he as been training hard and played for the 21 so I can see him playing on Saturday
Fair enough Mike. I certainly hope he'll prove my suspicions wrong and bring something substantial to the midfield and not be another Buckley
Just a question, why is everyone so concerned about Sloth? It's clear he's never going to play. Why they don't sell him I don't know.
Bucks, think you're right. Anyone else find it sad that some think he is the saviour of our season, a man who never played
It's both sad and a measure of how far our great club has fallen. This is the only type of player we can attract. I suspect, despite what some are saying, most if not all supporters now realise how poor the situation has become. A few weeks back Buckley was to be a saviour also
Bloody hell Eire, I thought my post was depressing, come on chippy I need you to post to make mine look optimistic please
Bridcutt was nothing short of outstanding at Brighton. One of, if not the best midfielder in the league at the time and Sunderland won the race to his signature purely because of the Poyet connection. Others were in for him (albeit lower PL teams). Only thing now is how far has he fallen without game time? Its also a very similar story with Buckley and he didn't work out at all. Saying that, we needed to do something in the loan market. We can't keep going how we are going, we'll get relegated.
All that has happened is the rest have you have caught me up. I thought we were ****e. I said we were ****e. At long last many of you agree we are ****e. No gloating, would have much prefered the others to have been proved right. Eventually the cheerleaders will even agree.....
Well roll on Saturday and let's see what he's made of. Hope to god I'm totally wrong and he revolutionises our midfield.
I assume Bridcutt is a replacement for Adeyemi, one defensive midfielder for another. Just can't understand why we take a player on loan for a position where we have so many options. He hasn't played all season so scouts will have no idea how good or match fit he is. No reserve keeper, defence we are now thread bare, we can't score goals so we go out and loan another defensive player.....
Seemed to put in a big effort today to get in a striker but surely that should have been done weeks ago rather than leave to the eleventh hour
Agree, why the last minute... If we had signed a defender I would have understood, we are struggling now and Wootton is a liability. A creative midfielder or attacking one, again great we are not scoring or creating enough, even a striker but no, we bring in a defensive midfield player when we have an abundance who can play that role...
