Several League One and Two clubs have made a loan approach apparently, including Port Vale and Gillingham.
I think he's looked very promising in the matches I have seen him play in. Direct and quite quick. I'd have liked him and Luer to have had a few more first team opportunities.
**** me League 1? Really? Tranmere wrote him off after 2 games and he couldn't break into a semi professional Alloa side. At 22 he'd better grab any opportunity coming to him or it's a climb up the non-league pyramid for him.
I have watched him quite a few times playing for the U21, as said he is fast and direct, but loses the ball too often. Probably will be OK at Div 2 level and might make Div 1 IMHO.
Would imagine he's nearing the end of the line with City. Not as quick as some make out and that's his only real attribute. Very little strength, has Aluko-like selfishness, no real end product. Not going to make it if we start at this level and definitely not if we're promoted again.
I can't really say either way, but never forget some players are late bloomers! Deano being one such player! You just have to look at Vardy, even Liam Cooper could be said to have had talent & not had it recognised here, but now playing his way up to Championship football! They do need game time though to show it in the first place. The likelihood is he will leave & drift down the pyramid! It'll be up to him to try to get back though! I'd like to think that if he does go we keep an eye on him just in case!
Always nice to see lads who leave us maybe on a downer go on to great things, like big Jon Walters for Ireland recently
Couldn't agree more. That said, it is an opportunity to prove everybody wrong. Still wish him all the best.
Wasn't the window closed yesterday? Or did I make that up - or is the point of the OP that approaches were made but turned down?
If he's turned loan offers down at that level, then he's a fool and poorly represented to boot. Loan offers for anyone playing at under 21 level are like rocking horse **** atm no matter what parent club.
