Perfect timing for ‘Black Friday’. Although, apparently a lot of stores have ‘gone early’ and started today. Stick, you make a very good case for Mystery Drama. Does look interesting. Also in the heat is Romeo Americo who I once saw romp home at Newton Abbot. Has done very little since but this is, I note, the first time he’s been lower than he was that day he won at God’s own racecourse way back in '12. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmn, maybe I’m not now as confident about the Proofreader!
It's slightly more competitive than you would think at first glance. The boy Danzinski is unpenalised for last weeks win so at least four that we can make a decent case for.
Happy birthday Ron, have a good day. Just placed a bet on VAR and will double up with SUPERSTA in the last at Chelmsford. Sounds like this one fell out the stalls last time giving the remainder a good 5 lengths head start and pulled hard most of the way. He still won and today although 5lb higher is actually dropping down a grade. I think this wins again only doubt is running on this course. Short price too.
12:15 rank race. However Tarrakom catches the eye at massive prices 33/1 taken. He is by Naaqoos who has 30% strike rate at Southwell. That triggered my interest, and the trainer knows how to get one handicapped!!
Cheers chaps. Had a lay in and breakfast in bed this morning. Long time since that happened (might have been 365 days ago, can't remember). Just a quiet meal at Amanda's tonight as they are off to England overnight to get in early for the Black Friday bargains. Will have a proper evening out on Saturday
Only one bet for me today in 2.35 at Thurles.Fancy Long House Island to go in again following C&D win last week:best price 3/1 Ron/Don hope you both have an enjoyable day for diff reasons!
Could be an "arry's Day" today 12:30 Barry Geraghty 1:00 Harry´s Farewell 1:35 Unowhatimeanharry 2:10 Harry Skelton 2:45 Harristown 3:15 Harry Skelton 3:50 Barry Geraghty
Now I've posted this (for 2.45 at Newbury), he'll probably either fall or be pulled up! http://www.theguardian.com/sport/blog/2015/nov/26/talking-horses-newbury-best-bets "But in the end I’m going with Warriors Tale (2.45), a 7-1 shot making his debut for Paul Nicholls after showing promise over hurdles for Nicky Richards last season. Nicholls was full of enthisiasm for this beast’s fencing prospects at his owners’ day a couple of months ago and it’s interesting that he has chosen to start him off in this very competitive event, which the trainer won twice in the past three years." Saint Roque has just won 2.20 at Taunton trained by Paul Nicholls. Native River won 2.10 at Newbury, trained by Colin Tizzard - he trains Fourth Act who runs in 2.45 at Newbury.
Boom-Long House Island wins by a gee hair on the line-Lost my fair share of photo finishes so always nice when it goes your way
Some great Chuckle Vision there, well done Barney. 8/1 SP as well. Used to like Proofreader on the level but left him alone today Shout also Ste at Thurles.
The mobile app keeps telling me "no license available. Please try later" each time I try go into it. If you can pass that on to the powers that be thanks. I also couldn't log on via the desktop website.
Sorry for the aftertime but I'm cursing because I was just about to post about Kir Royal looking interesting on her début and I had to shoot off to pick up my grandson from school. I was particularly keen on the breeding and the fact that it was on only 10.7 from a top stable. The mother was by Teenoso out of a mare I loved, Dubicilla. The sire is Lucarno, a descendant of Roberto and Ribot. When I saw it came 3rd at 25/1 I thought "****, I see an ALERT coming" I shall be keeping my eye on this one
