I offer my opinion when I have something to say. I don't offer it to get a reaction and I don't offer it with the impression that what I am saying is the gospel truth and dare not be disagreed with.

It gets like a school playground on here sometimes and it comes across that one person always seems to get rounded on / attracts the bullies. Since I joined 2 or 3 people have encountered this and then been banned. More often than not its just for having a differing view. That's what a forum is for. Those that are truly offensive should get banned. Otherwise use the ignore buttons. I find the valuations interesting and the comments about other debts help to paint the enormity of the situation with our club.
When the mods did an IP address search they discovered he either logs on from addresses in central Leeds, Leeds 11, Miami or caligari..... But they declined to speculate further when pressed for details.

Lee, you are one of the posters I look out for - sensible and still thought provoking. However, I am a pretty rounded individual and think I can ignore most of this stuff but find myself itching to post and ask Mike - why do you resort to name calling (Lonnies dad, Bin Man etc) - what can he hope to achieve when things so frequently become hostile - unless, of course, that is exactly what he wants. You are right the ignore function is there and people are entitled to differing views but name calling has nothing to do with views ffs, we are all grown men and women. If I want to use the ignore button to avoid it, I would miss reams of pages because that is how much get's taken up with this rubbish and, if that were the case, what would the point of looking on here be? It would be like playing join the dots in trying to work out what everyone is talking about. Like you, I read things like Mike's valuations with interest whether I agree or totally disagree BUT as soon as "Bookmark this so the doubters can see that I said it", "I will not be told" or the name calling starts it just becomes unbelievably tiresome - like many others I have seriously considered just not bothering any more. Finally, I don't think anyone is getting rounded on / bullied, I think it is simply a case that if you keep sticking your head over the top of the trench, you are going to get shot at sooner or later!

I was getting ready to reply to Lee but these two paragraphs couldn't sum it up better... The thing is, unless you are on the end of snide digs you miss a lot of them... Then when the target bites other members say "here we go again" tarnishing both parties with the same brush. For the record, I don't want to see Leeds60 banned, I disagree with most of what he writes but he is the same as the rest of us in that he supports Leeds United. I really wish he would wind it in, I can see this ending in a ban which would be very sad but you can't keep ignoring warnings and ignoring what affect your posts/style have on other members
