Stevie G's thoughts on a manager he rates.

"'Rafa's a good manager, for me, I just have to wonder what his relationship's like with the big players in the dressing room. It looks a bit broken at the moment, from the outside. Time will tell how long it lasts."
"It's difficult to put your finger on it, but Rafa's all about team, he's not really a fan of individual players, he's all about his philosophy as a team."

"'But you've got to manage individuals different, especially at Real Madrid, it is all about Ronaldo and the big players. Rafa's got to adapt to them, rather than vice versa.' "

Stevie GBH saying Rafa doesn't know how to manage big players. He no doubt thinks he has first hand experience of that. Didn't he slate him in his book as well? Something about a fakht based meltdown (which according to some was a victory for Rafa!).

Quoted word for word from a link on the thread it appears no knife was involved just an ex-player of the Real Madrid manager giving an honest opinion on why he feels Rafa must pander to the wishes of CR7 and appease the big headed ****'s ego instead of putting his team ethic first.

If anybody is looking for knives in manager's backs they should try Scholes and Ferdinand's attack on Louis van Gaal.

Scholes and Ferdinand were never managed by Van Gaal. Very odd comparison there Paige.

Ex players that supposedly love their former club would not upset the work in progress by the relatively new manager by continually slagging him off at every opportunity.
On the other hand an ex player of Rafa Benitez giving his opinion on a player/players vs manager situation is no big deal.

Apart from the poster seeing conspiracies where non exist.

half the people who worked under fergie didn't like him either, shouldnt imagine kung fu cantona or the thug particularly got on with him. or the wife shagger or ginge. a lot of ex players come out with ****e about their ex manager. never understood why either side just couldn't keep it to themselves.

you mancs just wont let this rafa thing go will you.

Cantona and Fergie got on, and still get on, very well. Rooney has had fall outs with him but then he is a bitter scouser! The one who is very bitter, like Gerrard, is Keane.

No conspiracy, just pointing out the fakhts. Perhaps Gerrard is bitter that he never won a league title and blames Rafa for blowing his best chance in 2009. But then again he shouldn't really have expected to win a league title under Rafa who hasn't won a league title since 2004!

    "bitter"

Under Rafa's managership Gerrard enjoyed the best moment of his career bar none.

Ah, so you are now admitting your post with the link was bollocks, fair play.

As for your point about "his book", probably for the same financial reasons as Ferguson.

Gerrard was quite complimentary towards Rafa in the book as well.

I'm assuming you read the book, Stan?
