Flamini, Arteta, Welbeck, Santos... the list goes on of players that Wenger signs that are simply there to make up the numbers and don't have the required standard. We need a new manager to address this problem.
Nobody is making you comment on this thread. Go and start another 'Wenger out' one if you need to vent
Not sure I understand this - your solution is to sack our manager and bring in another manager during a time when the transfer window is closed, so we can replace Coq with.... ???
I wrote the thread, asking what solutions at DM we could use whilst Coquelin was injured. I made specific reference to the fact that Wenger made a mistake not buying one in the summer, so as to try and keep the thread on topic so it didn't go off on another 'Wenger out' tangent. You don't seem to have any constructive comments to make other than 'sack wenger', so I am suggesting that you needn't comment any more on this thread, thanks
Sack Wenger and hire someone who can use our team to better effect to cope with the loss than Wenger can. Job done. It's not rocket science. New signings are a fix but not the only one. Note how Liverpool are now a different proposition under a different manager. Klopp has signed no-one new, yet he can take the same group of players to City and win 4-1. They're inconsistent as his philosophy will take time to bed in, but they've fixed a weakness.
Anyway, possible Jan signings ? Imbula (Porto) likened to Makalale, Vieira type of player. Only 23, probably well within our budget. Wanyama (Southampton) Premier league experience, would be tough to prize him away from Soton and would come at a premium. Carvalho (Sporting) Apparenlty we had a £13m + Joel Campbell bid turned down in the summer. Something more like £25m might persuade them to part company ?
I thought Imbula just moved? Wanyama will be difficult to buy but Carvalho should be the more probable. I would pay the £25m just to make us one of the favourites to win the league.
True. He has just moved to Porto so it would be difficult to prize him away. Carvalho seems to be a long term target of ours. Let's just hope he isn't so long term that he ends up signing for another club !
Well he does sound like a long term target so we might as well get him now than wait and potentially blow our season. Pay the extra dosh and go for it!
