Personal opinion - Vaz Te was Watt's replacement. Reason - he mentioned he was glad it's "finally out", suggesting there was a wait. Finding someone within the budget (pfft) wouldn't have been easy. Especially when your scouts and chairwoman are as incompetent as ours.
I heard about a week ago that the transfer window would be busy in and out. Kermy was 95 per cent coming in but Ranties injury scuppered that deal. Mc Anuff was close to coming in but he has gone back to Leyton Orient and was a substitute in the last game. We were one of the clubs interested in bringing in Alex Iwomi but the form of Lookman has stopped that deal.Watt being moved out was no big surprise. I was also speaking to someone at the U21 game who reckons that there will be no one coming in. They will be reviewing the situation in January.
Who will we have next season? Tony Watt- on his way out Reza- I don't see his long-term future at Charlton somehow, especially in L1 Big Mak- on loan Igor- the new Cory Gibbs Ademole Lookman- I can't see any reason why he'd choose to stay with us rather than any of the clubs which are tracking him. Looks like they pre emptied the departure of the 'bad egg' Watt by signing Vaz Te. Didn't Katrien Meire once say of Watt's signing and wages "he didn't cost peanuts" Surely not another example of RD cutting costs ?
