Good result and played well tonight. Ozil and Sanchez were top class and Campbell, Bellerin and Monreal all deserve a lot of credit. Want to mention how well we played defensively too. We mopped up everything that came into our box, but more so what was really good to see was how the whole team defended from the front and pressed the ball when we didn't have it. We forced Zagreb into giving the ball away and that's what allowed us to counter attack so many times. Hope we can keep this up and build some momentum
Can someone explain to me how the Goal difference works re this final game we have..... IF we win 3-2 what happens? and IF we only win by one goal what happens? I understand IF we win by 2 clear goals we go through.
As I understand it, we have to win by 2 clear goals or better the score from the Emirates. So 0-2, 1-3 etc and I presume 3-4 or 4-5 would do it too ? Not sure what happens if the score is 2-3, but if it comes down to GD then we would go through.
That was a very good performance. If Arsenal play like this against Olympiacos then they will go through. Olympiacos have already conceded 10 goals so they do not have the best defence record. Arsenal have conceded 10 goals too but scored a lot more. If it is a shoot out then Arsenal are well placed. I think that Olympiacos will defend for their lives so the loss of Coquelin will not be so much of a problem and Arsenal have Ozil to unlock the defence. I make Arsenal favourites to go through and then who knows from there.
