great result, worked hard first half, kept our heads and got the result second half.......job done! Hopefully this might kick start our home form!
Twitter is funny tonight, this one made me laugh. Wycombe Wanderers FC @wwfcofficial 4m4 minutes ago #Pompey scored six tonight and have sold 1,800 tickets for Saturday. We need you there behind the boys! #WYCvPOR
What a second half, and what a result !! Highlight of the first half was the young Pompey fan coming out of the Fratton End to take the goal kick on behalf of the York goalie who had antagonised the home fans with his blatant timewasting. The referee spoke to him twice about it but for some unexplained reason didn't book him. Mark McNulty was superb, what a goalscorer he is. Do hope we can hang on to him and Caolan Lavery for as long as possible. Very impressed also with Adam Webster - he reads the game so well, and is growing in stature as a centre half. Onwards and upwards PUP
You wait six matches for a goal and then six come along at once. It had to happen. Letś hope this has lifted the "monkey" off the back.
The grand old Duke of York, he had 10 *** men, they marched into the dressing room and stayed there by all accounts.
Unbelievable Jeff !! Both "short sighted" York manager Jackie McNamara and midfielder Jonathan Greening believe the player should NOT have been red carded for his disgusting challenge on Michael Doyle. Greening said that he didn't deserve to be sent off - poor love ! Well, from my seat in the South Stand Lower, I had a very good view of the vicious assault on our player, and you clearly see that he led with his extended elbow, and the challenge was very much intended to put Doyle out of the match. Clearly, both persons need the services of 'Specsavers' as a matter of some urgency. Shame really, as Greening was clearly the pick of the York players in the first half, marshalling their midfield, and certainly let his team mates, and their 141 loyal fans, down completely. What a schmuck.....
