Ozil has double the assists of any other player in the league. His job is to create. He holds all sorts of records and impressive stats in regards to creating chances and creating goals. He isn't expected to be scoring non-stop, happy for him to chip in with 5-10 goals a season.

Of his 4 goals so far this season he's scored against Utd and Bayern, so at least he scores in the big games

 

... hmmm where is that stat from? .. Mahrez was top last time I looked?

 

Mahrez has 5 assists in the league, Ozil has 11... So you must not have looked for a while lol. Ozil has more assists in consecutive games than Mahrez has overall. Ozil having set the premier league record for consecutive games with an assist. He also as of a few games ago, so no idea if the stat still stands, had the best ratio of games to assists in premier league history. His ability to create goals really shouldn't be in question.

(Used transfermarkt for the stats though some other websites seem to have given Mahrez a 6th assist though I can't seem to find what game he supposedly got the extra assist so 5 seems the accurate number as far as I can tell)
