Arteta is short-term and Coquelin is longer. How big the damage is we don’t know but we will know for certain this [Monday] afternoon. Everyone from Saturday's game is available and Ramsey is available. on Coquelin’s injury… It is at least a month. I’m a bit cautious as we have had so many bad surprises on the scans… but the team for the next few months will be without Coquelin. on getting more injuries than most clubs… It looks like that at the moment. I must say we have been hit very hard in November as until November and the Sheffield Wednesday game we had quite a good record and since then we lost a few players. But now we have Ramsey and for the weekend Oxlade-Chamberlain will be back as well. After that Walcott will be the next one. [As for] the players who have long-term injuries, basically some of them are from last season like Rosicky and Welbeck.
Hopefully. Pretty sure we'll win though. All goes as expected then we'll need a 2 goal margin of victory against Olympiakos. We've never beaten them in Greece but we've never had to beat them in Greece either. Very possible. Need to get the job done here though.
Must win, simple as. If we can't beat Zagreb at home then we don't really deserve to go through anyway.
I suppose it's a must win or a must lose in some ways - I definitely want us in the CL knock out stages, and it would be shocking to lose to Zagreb home and away, but a draw would be much worse than a loss as at least a loss would guarantee no Europa league. And IMO a Europa league campaign could be devastating for our league campaign. EDIT: Maybe I mean Must win or must not draw.
I'm torn on this one, I want to progress but the league is more important. We can't afford any more injuries and our form in both formats have been chalk and cheese - questionable in the CL but good in the league. If we had more cover in some areas then I wouldn't think twice, but we need players like Walcott, who is injury prone, playing the majority of our season. We just don't look convincing in the CL and in my opinion, not ready to post a valid challenge. But the league is a different proposition, it's our best chance for a long time, but the only way to pose a proper challenge is to manage our players as best as possible, and that means less matches for me.
Really nice counter attack and great run from Giroud to pull the CB out of position, brave header from Ozil too
Ozil has been so consistent this season in either scoring or assisting. Glad to see Sanchez get an assist.
