Morning all, grey and damp here, but a lot warmer than yesterday. Off to do some shopping today. Hardware for me, Christmas items for Mme. Since the nightmare in Paris we have noticed that mail , especially parcels are taking longer to get here from the UK. I probably would not order anything with wires attached to come through the post.
Just got back from a days work.... yes as a semi-retired person I have just taught a half day morning at University... and seen 4 psychotherapy clients in my afternoon clinic ... no jokes please and got home to find my authors copies of my new book have arrived.... Very exciting .........
Left home at 9.00 am, returned home at 7.00 pm having been doing building work all that time with just a 20 minute lunch break. I unlike Yorkie am retired, so you can see things keep going unless you wish to give in. Toad in the Hole when I returned. Any knowledge out there how it got the name. All sorts of ideas, but no certainty.
Frenchie.... you are doing 'volunteering' - keep it up lad wiki - The origin of the name "Toad-in-the-Hole" is often disputed. Many suggestions are that the dish's resemblance to a toad sticking its head out of a hole provides the dish with its somewhat unusual name. It is rumoured to have been called "Frog-in-the-Hole" in the past, although little evidence exists to support this theory.[2] It has also been referred to as "sausage toad".[3]
I have just entered this address and found it alive and well. http://wdsport.co.uk/2015/07/live-rolling-hornets-news-bites/
