But Rooney had already played for United and, after Ronaldo left he was their best player (well, you know what I mean). I'm not talking about the players clockwork - their Agents will get wind of the pay being baove the apparent cap and immediately want part of the action. Agents are basically leaches and want what they can get and if someone else is getting it then they want it as well. We can't move on to bigger and better players until we know where we sit financially and the financial fair play rules come in shortly. Our wage bill is already too high and to increase it by another 3-4m per year would be massive for us. It's alright saying you don;'t think it's that much but if it is then we shouldn't pay it. If it's the same as the maximum wage at SAFC then sign him as he'd be almost guaranteed to be a success for us. I'd pay him the top of the wage cap at SAFC and believe he'd be worth every penny. But Gyan and Sessegnong would also have to be on the same IMO as they are just as good and just as important to us

He's only 7.5million in the fantasy league so ive snapped him up! Totally agree with ur post mate, 28-30 id say that price was heavily inflated however when considering his age and the resale value of he who shall not be named i cant see us making a loss on him even if he has an average few seasons for us, but like most on here id like a bit of closure on the situation so we can move on.

Haway Titus get his arm twisted!!!

Quinn has always said he wants the best for the club, but he will NOT put the future of the club at risk.
All monies must be manageable otherwise we would be on the road to oblivion.
That said, who knows what the future holds with merchandising revenue in Ghana and South Korea.
The increase in turnover must be achieved to go to the 'next step' financially.

According to TalkShite radio N'Zog has threatened to go on strike as he feels Wigan are pricing him out of a move.

No mention of his crazy wage demands though, apparently, he feels those are justified & perfectly realistic.

Charge on ya greedy Galic twat, just another Bent boy if you ask me.

I think he's good enough for a top 4 team, Arsenal are crying out for a left sided player. He's better than Downing just has the wrong passport for Dalglish. We should be doing everything we can to sign him, I think this 70k is ballacks. If he came here had a good season or two the top clubs would be round us like vultures and we'd double what we paid for him. We don't know what he want a week untill we put a bid in for him that wigan accept.

I bet Nzogbia wouldn't cost us a week what Nos, killgallon and mccartney are costing us. Clear out the dead wood and sign a player who walks straight into the first team and could be the difference between a great season and another nerve jangler. Easy decision.

Well he is worth realisticly 15-20mill in today's stupid Market. So if he wants 60-70k, give him that because we save 5-10 mill on the transfer fee. Also I really can't see him wanting that much anyway, he's at Wigan, probaly the lowest paying club in the league, he can't expect a 30-40k increase just because of a move to another club.

With wages though its not just giving him 60-70K a week, when sess came he took a wage cut and said, i dont mind, in a year or 2 you will have to pay me more, i am that good (or words to that effect), so if we break our wage cap for the one who should not be named, Bruce/Quinn will have about 10 players banging the door down for a new contract and a pay rise, so that 60-70k a week turns into 500,000k a week or even more.
