Indeed. There are many fans out there who claimt that the North London Power-Shift is still on. I cannot say that I am, yet, confident that they are right, but I do think it is fair to let the argument run. I'll make my mind up, in due course. I do wish to emphasise, though, that I remain undecided on the issue.
That is, certainly, one view, and a perfectly valid one. There are others out there (I don't presume to count myself among their number) who say that Spurs have been moving in on Arsenal for the past few seasons, and that when we've built out stadium we will leave you in our shadow. That, equally, is a valid view that has to be taken into account. Let's see what happens over the next few seasons, before any of us make up our minds on the shift.
The irony is that gooners are quick to say the same things as the OP about Arsenal finishing 2nd to United fans. And when United fans make the same point about the "gap" in our trophies, gooners are quick to dismiss it as the past. Pure hypocrisy. Chelsea are miles ahead of any other London club tbf and there's no power shift happening there for the foreseeable future.
We are ahead but would not say miles. We have been London's dominant club for a decade now The power would shift if Arsenal won a couple of titles and a European cup over three or four seasons and Chelsea stopped winning trophies
