It was vitally important we got him to sign before he puts himself in the shop window some more by showing what he's capable of.
Dont think he would want to leave us at the moment in any case, which is why it easy for us to get him to sign a new contract. He is more intelligent than most footballers, so I am pretty sure that he knows he has more chances to play football for us and get more experience (and continue improving) rather than sign for a team where there is a big risk of him never getting a chance to play.
He is obviously a bright young man from an intelligent family by the sound of it. Will he need an agent to "guide" him?
