A lot of the "experts" are predicting the solo/competitive streaming bubble will burst simply because the customer can not afford them all and will resort to torrents again (which were on the downturn with the arrival of the streaming sites)

There has been preliminary meetings with a few of the companies regarding series sharing with ideas like everything on all sites but for example Netflix releasing its own stuff earlier on its own site etc.

It won't happen while they are all striving for market lead position so they can go into the negotiations with the upper hand.

Won't burst here in US simply because it's way cheaper than cable.

Cable TV can cost $150 a month in some areas (and people still pay for it).

Netflix or competitors ever boost prices to match that and a new start up will come and eat their business.

The biggest threat to streaming TV is broardband internet. Most places the old cable companies still have monopolies in place and so can strangle out streaming services.

Yeah its an issue here too, BT held the infrastructure manopoly but the Govt brought in rules to make sure competition was created in the broadband market which has worked to keep prices down.

Not sure such govvt interference would be welcomed in the US though..suppose it depends on each state.

UK I think is way ahead on average broadband speeds to the US and average lower prices too. Government won't take on big corps to break monopolies because they would lose lobbyist money to do so.

US is much more loathe to tackle monopolies than EU for this reason. Its why EU has to be one going after MS and Google when they cross the line.

The downsides to living in a corpocracy.

So, Glenn is alive, his most people expected it. Planned or a result of fan reaction?

Planned mate. If you go back to the episode where he first falls off the bin and has the other chap on top of him and watch the last few frames very carefully and very slowly you can see him start to push himself back under the bin. I would've applauded them if they'd killed off a major, much loved character with so little ceremony but there's no way they were going to have the balls to do that and piss in so many viewers' pies.

Hells yeah, hopefully there's some proper carnage. My idea is that Negan comes and helps out and that's how they end up in debt to him.

Fair point. They probably wanted to see the reaction around killing off best-loved characters and effect on viewing figures, so at least one big one could go next week. Lots to tie up in one episode...

at least one of those will not be answered and make us bloody wait. The bastards!

Though I would assume the group reunites at the end as the whole series has actually been over a very short period of time.

Think Morgan will be the one killed off if anyone. Possibly by his prisoner though more likely Carole or Rick

I am very disappointed that this is on Amazon Prime, cause it looks excellent. Might have to go back to my old Internet Pirate ways for it.

Happy he got out but the situation they put him in made it a impossible outcome.

If they wanted to make it look like he died but got out then don't use 20,000 walkers!

It never showed how Rick escaped the walkers either

TWD was a decent episode despite the inexplicable part. (We all know what that was)
One more episode to go until Christmas break!
Just how ******ed is Spencer and ALL of Deanna's people? That stunt climbing over the wall <doh> And that little **** Ron looks like he is gunning for Carl, quite drastic just because you think someone's muscled in on your bird. Not sure Enid is worth committing murder for, but hey.....And Morgan's whole "all life is precious" bullshit must be irritating the **** out of Rick and Carol, I know it would me

Haha, yeah they completely forgot about or ignored Rick stuck in the RV, I guess we're supposed to assume he hid and waited it out and the zambies went straight past to the town walls. With Glenn it's not so much the situation, as I think it was escapable by doing exactly what he did, but more how they've ****ed up the storytelling after that by losing all the suspense from the narrative. They've waited too long for the reveal so it comes across as very deflated and hokey, plus it's also a big cop out.

He is ******ed Spencer, they all seem a bit touched in there the newbs, to the point where it's unrealistic, at least some of them would be able to wise up to life in the zambie apocalypse. And was Spencer being brave or rather than trying to help, as he said he was, was he actually trying to escape bcos he's a coward ?? Ron mainly wants to kill Carl bcos Rick put his wife-beating Dad down remember, he's looking for revenge so probably sees killing Carl as a way of levelling up. Think it's more about that than Enid although he is clearly tense about that situation too. Morgan's philosophy would work well if you're living in an isolated forest house like his mentor who only wanted to stay put and never see anybody. As soon as you're in with people that mindset will fast become problematic. Morgan isn't the loner type as that's what drove him crazy initially right ?? As well as what happened to his family.
