I'll just leave this here for those who think McClaren chats **** (gets banged by Vardy) and Anita was worthless at the weekend... http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spor...s/steve-mcclaren-names-one-newcastle-10484376 "With Tiote there, we felt quite stable, especially because Vurnon was probably the only one out of the whole group who did their job. “He (Anita) was at the right level. Losing Cheick opened the game up too much. Especially against a Leicester team who like to play that way."
I echo your sentiments. However without the freedom of buying/selling, his influence in achieving any results are going to be pretty limited.
Honestly though, I think although I'd usually say he should get more time I think with Rogers, Moyes, Seedorf (if links are true) and Gary Monk (possibly) available now is the time to get rid and start afresh with a month before the window opens for any new manager to make plans for investment. Also Graham Carr and those at board level need to be put under the same pressure as McClaren, they are all just as accountable but they are all just yes men at the end of the day.
Seeing the likes of Palace, Swansea, Leicester, Stoke etc seeming to manage with ridiculous ease in such a short amount of time leaves me scratching my head questioning 'why cant we do that, looks easy?'
McClaren needs to go asap. Graham Carr should be sacked. We have wasted a fortune based on his recommendations.
Apparently, we can't compete with any of those clubs. The scary thing is - three of those clubs were all in the 3rd tier a few years ago. Swansea almost got relegated from the league altogether if I am not mistaken.
I was looking at Stoke's squad this weekend. Bojan, Affellay, Shaquiri - they have some really class little players there atm and I was just sitting there thinking, surely we could have challenged for a few of the lads they bought in. Same again with Swansea you look at Ayew, Shelvey and Gomis and think what our fortunes would like with players like those. You probably won't make a massive profit on them (bar the free signings) but they will earn you a couple million bob in final positional payouts at the end of the season...
That's the trouble. Those sides are looking to improve. Their sole motivation isn't cashing in on 'prospects.' It's no coincidence that the the two clubs that operate a policy of buying to sell on are two of the worst in the PL; us and Villa. Until we stop this stupid ****ing policy it will never change.
give up man. We are going to have to go backwards to go forwards!! We all know that! Lets do it this season and get rid of the fat Feecker!!!
Just had a text off an ITK mate who reckons Charnley is meeting with Seedorf. Currently on gardening leave at Inter.
This has done the rounds today, I do wonder how plausible it is. I like the idea of it, however he has 4 months of managerial experience at AC Milan and he didn’t exactly set the world alight! He does however speak 6 languages and is very intelligent and all the best managers have to start somewhere. I saw on Wikipedia his missus has a restaurant aptly named "Fingers in Milan". Say that one quickly!
I can't see Seedorf coming in myself. I can see McClaren getting the boot though. Our start to the season has been disastrous. We won't pick up anything on Saturday and don't have a prayer away to Spurs or home to Liverpool. It's conceivable that we could be bottom by Christmas. Heads will roll if that is the case. It will be a case of Charnley or McClaren that will take the fall. The problem is, a change of manager with that group of players is on a hiding to nothing. Janmaat [who was **** on Saturday], Perez, Mitrovic, WIjnaldum, De Jong [who doesn't get a ****ing game for some reason] and Mbemba aside, the rest are absolutely dogshit, Championship standard players.
McClaren vs Pardew is Sub-par vs Average McClaren vs Pochettino/Klopp should only ever likely happen in the League cup.
If we signed Seerdorf as manager then I would personally go down to Northumberland Street and display Albert's bare arse in Fenwick's window
