He's probably worth no more than £20-30million but I suppose whatever any club pays for him they will get back in shirt sales overnight. I watched some of El Classico last night and he's certainly not the player he was last season. Then again he is playing under a moron who believes a team with Isco, Ronaldo, James, Bale and Benzema in should play defensively.
Same goes for Bale. I wouldn't pay more than 40m for him. Those guys care more for their haircuts than playing team sport.
Rafa to LVG, like going from the fire to the frying pan. Slightly less painful but either way, he'll get cooked. He wants to retire at RM but there may come a time when they will turn on him, like they did with Raul. In which case he'll end up somewhere like PSG.
The current Fabio is available for a fraction of the price. You could probably get Bale with the extra cash.
We're so over Fabio. The hunt for the next Fabio is what interests us now. I reckon if Martial lets his hair grow out enough he could get there. And you can quote me on that.
Yeh I can see why that might be considered blasphemy in your eyes, but one is the manager of Real Madrid and the other is the manager of Manchester United, which, in case you hadn't noticed, is kind of relevant to the title of this thread. It's not like Ronaldo is getting any younger or that we have to look very far as to how aging forwards fair under LVG - just look at Rooney last season and this.
Come on, Treble! That's a poor argument. First of all, Rooney has been average for 4-5 years. That has nothing to do with LVG. Is RVP doing any better for his new club? No! Was he any better under Moyes? No! Is that LVG's fault too? I guess LVG is responsible for Falcao too? You can't blame LVG for Rooney's constipation. If anything, I blame LVG for not offloading him to the bench. Besides, Rooney would never be fit enough to clean Ronaldo's shoes.
