Bruce also has no pace & is prone to going in for a rash tackle, giving away silly free kicks in dangerous areas! Harry was in the team that beat Middlesboro so why give Derby any special treatment? If he ****s up, he ****s up, but so far he's been good enough to keep his place!
I would play: McGregor Moses Davies Bruce Clucas Elmo Hayden Livermore Maloney Diame Hernandez I expect: McGregor Elmo Davies Maguire Moses Clucas Livermore Huddlestone Maloney Diame Hernandez Just got a feeling Bruce will play Moses at LB and Clucas RM as he did at Forest and I'm sadly almost certain he won't drop Huddlestone.
I don't rate him as highly as our other centre-backs. He worries me with his lack of pace, positional sense and tendency to wrestle players rather than tackle them. That said he is good in the air, I just feel we are more assured with Dawson/Davies/Bruce at the back.
I hope he doesn't put Odubajo at left back, he's poor there, this is the ideal opportunity to get Clucas and Maloney starting together. If he doesn't take it, he risks getting pie'd.
Totally don't agree about Maguire, he needs games and is already miles better than Alex Bruce. He made the one mistake on Saturday that people jumped on but redeemed himself. Lets get young lads like Maguire in the team now and build it around them
I saw you write this before and again I don't agree with it for the reasons I put above. If you look at Maguires games he has helped us beat two Prem teams this season and given he has hardly played I think he has done excellently (edit and Middlesborough)
To be honest I think Dave will be fine at LB. Ince plays on the right?? I think. It will suit Dave, Ince cutting onto his left foot. Maloney can go to RM. He should work well with Elmo. He's a clever player Maloney, he' ll come inside and allow Elmo to make his lung bursters down the right wing. Did we go 3 at the back against Cardiff? Cos Hudd was pretty good against them.
Well someone asked why, so I answered. You're welcome to disagree, I'm just stating what I see on match days.
It would be a bit of a waste of time building a team around Maguire, there's no way he's Premier League quality, he'd get sent off every other week.
We might be given a clue about that tmw when he plays for the U21's, if he's withdrawn at HT my guess would be that he'll have at least some involvement on Friday night.
Exactly, when Ashbee got yo the PL everyone said he'd never make it, & they were all proved....right!
What Ash did is completely irrelevant, Maguire is too slow and clumsy for the Premier League, he'd get torn apart.
I can't 'like' your post for obvious reasons Rosie, however I do unfortunately think that you have it spot on.
