Off Topic Favourite weather.

Some ganes called of already due to weather.

So what is your favourite time of year?

I am a self proclaimed hater of cold weather. I own nothing like a jacket or coat. In fact i own nothing with long sleeves.


Do you like winter and the cold. The snow. The ice. Freezing fog etc?


Road problems. Gritters.

Or us it just part of life?

 

Having worked in some ridiculously hot places for 4-8 months at a time... I love getting home to the cold!
It's a lot more fun trying to get warm in bed than it is trying to cool down

I love having 4 seasons. When I was a kid we had great summers and cold winters.

Over the last 30-40 years the weather all seemed to meld into blandness.

We're getting seasons back at the minute and that's fine by me. I love cold winters.

We've just walked back home from watching the city / pool and it was really bloody cold. Clear starry night. Beautiful.

 

If you have one type of weather it gets boring - I love autumn (for the colours) but one of the best Xmas's I ever had was when I enjoyed the day with my family then walked home (about 11.00pm) through crisp snow about a mile then sat down with a 10 year old whisky to watch a live ashes test in Aus - bliss

 

As boring as talking about it?

It wad a toss up between a weather thread or one on tory benefit cuts.

Bout time you have another holiday Vince. Its been a few weeks since the last one. Where next?

 

Used to love the cold, not so sure now think it's an age thing. Looking out of the windows at the moment I can just about see across the field at the end of our garden through the mist, the sun's shining and it's cold and pi--ing down - roll on summer!!

On a farm near Malton (and before anybody starts having a go at "poor" farmers, we rent a house here,it`s not our farm!)

 

Is it a working farm. Dairy or aggri?

 

Very working - about 1600 acres, mainly arable with spuds and carrots and about 400 "bed & breakfast" pigs.

 

Pigs just smell bloody awful........ until they're rashers. Every cloud really does have a silver lining

Still 28 deg at 8 o'clock at night, just come back from a couple at the pub up the road, nice! Got the red wine in the fridge, but have to wait 5 mins for the smelly blue cheese to soften.
Like the snow but hate all the rest of the **** that goes with it go for the sun mostly.
