I expect a little ambition and the team to have a bit about them, not much to ask in the great scheme of thing's.
I actually feel bad for a few of our player's, those few deserve more than what the Newcastle hierarchy are prepared to offer.
If your happy with that ****e we served up today. And last game. Then your more deluded than a Mackem.
If the worst happens then we'd be left with the nucleus of a fantastic Championship team. Darlow, Lascalles, Dummet, Colback, Aarons, Arma. Great bunch to build around.
Tufty needs to go quickly, I would go for Moyes over Rodgers but Ashley needs to change the scouting and basic philosophy that the club has been following, he needs unlock the funds and buy some experienced and quality players to put a spine in this team, Mitrovic is looking like another Riviere, Thauvin just another £12 million down the drain, still can't understand why we didn't go for Cabaye and Austin they would have added to their value.
I am not happy but we can't keep changing managers every few months. The squad he was given was screwed and the club never backed him in fixing the issue at the back or up top either. Ashley will not sack him it's not his style so the best we can hope for is that he splashes the cash in January will a decent centre half and charlie austin
Fire him and actually just employ someone without a history of failure and embarrassment ffs I'd rather give the job to someone with no managerial experience than simply scraping the British bowls of the English leagues desperate merry go round ****e
Id rather take a manager from a supermarket ffs than a football manager from the merry go round of failures that we go after. At least a supermarket manager has potential to learn and improve
Hardly been changing managers every few months, Tufty had a say in the players brought in this summer, even more so as he is on the board so don't buy the idea that he was given a crock, he started by saying judge me after the first 10 matches now he wants to the end of the season which will be far too late.
No club accepts this **** now except ours and quite frankly I think ashley will fire him after we lose at Palace.
After sleeping on it..... I still think he needs to go. The fact that he has been directly involved in the signing of players makes it even worse. Yes he picked up the crap from last season and added to it. With only really mbemba showing any signs of being premier league quality. Gini looks class in games but goes completely missing when the graft and tackles are needed. Mitro and thauvin have been hugely disappointing. But the quality of our all round play all season bar Norwich has been dreadful. We have been tanked far to many times. And the fact that he offered colo a new contract and kept him as club captain shows his lack of decision making. It was an easy way for him to get the players to like him. There's to much nicey nicey at the club. To much washing each other's back and ignoring the harsh truths. It's just simply not good enough. For a club of our size and income... Being one of europes top money earners.... We always go for the cheap or wrong option. The list is endless of flops in recent years. That goes down to the scouting team and the negotiations. I have noticed one thing though. Charnley has gone very very quiet of late. I wonder why. The false promises the emails saying we are in this together. Blah blah blah...... Well tell me. Do them players appear in it together..... Do they appear to be giving 100%. The answer is no!
I think he is probably a decent training ground coach. But a leader...no. he seems like too much of a wet blanket to be able to get the team revved up for the fight in the weekend. I fear for us now. We are officially f****d. Honestly 3 points today would have made all the difference. The January window is dependent on us not being totally in the sh*t. We will not be able to recruit the quality of players that we require as it stands.
