Wow - what a performance. Exceptional.

Firmino led the attack perfectly. Hard working, full of movement and most importantly, full of quality. Should have buried some chances but for a goal and 2 assists - he was instrumental. Coutinho looked so much better when he has some quality around him instead of mediocrity.

Probably an unsung hero but I thought Can was immense in midfield, he bossed it and looked so much better after having a bit of a rest.

The rest of the team were good so will refrain from criticising - apart from Milner who was awful. Loses possession and simply offers nothing apart from running around and working hard.

Oh and Benteke missed yet another sitter. Quite telling that he didn't start.

But overall - I'm buzzing! What an attacking performance. Just need to cut out the stupid mistakes at the back.

3 points and doubters are turning to believers. Klopp is a genius. Can't wait to see Sakho, Henderson and Sturridge got into the first team.

“This game has vindicated Sterling’s decision to join City,” writes Paul Griffin. “On this showing, he would not get first team football at Liverpool.”

We still need Sturridge. we need to be clinical in front of goal but the encouraging thing today is how we created so many clear cut chances - this is something we struggled since Suarez left.

Sturridge in front of Firmino and Coutinho ... Mouth watering

Can't get on board with Sturridge anymore, play Bentbeke over him any day. Sturridge makes me angry. I find his ****ing selfies accompanied by 'inspirational quotes' bs to be extremely annoying and I think he avoids playing football making more out of his being 'injured' than necessary, he's weak of body and weak of mind

They had Sakho`s twin and a lamp post in CD, you have to do it on a consistent basis against teams with a defence.
That being said, Coutinho and Firmino linked up very well today and looked impressive against a team who are most peoples favourites for the title.

It's a choice between him or Allen ffs <laugh>

I find it interesting how some people here say Milner was bang average or worse today, whilst others are saying he was faultless...

I think we need his energy, pressing and work (and he is better in a forward position rather than centre midfield), but for me the attacks break down with him too often either by slowing it down, turning back because he lacks to skill to go past someone, or by giving it away. He plays for now, is going to be a good squad player, but should be the first outfield player in today's XI to lose out when injured players return.

His work rate is admirable but we need much more that this level. If he was good on the ball or better positionally, he wouldn't have to work as hard IMO.

As you say, he'll be one of the first to drop when the likes of Hendo returns.

Must admit he doesn't have the same understanding he had with Zab and Silva yet in your team but, he is much better (more important) than many of your supporters give him credit for.
Not all players in a team can be fantastic, creative players, some have to do the dirty work (water carrying).
