Defender Martin Skrtel: "The way we played in the first half was brilliant. It is the fourh goal I have scored against City - I wouldn't mind playing them every week."

I enjoyed the majority of that game.
Lallana looks a different player under Klopp. Firmino looking classy and linking well with Coutinho (who is hopefully ok).

He has to be given time, he's a club man and will do well for you and should be there for many years. Easy to say from the outside though.

    Rampant Liverpool stun City
Jurgen Klopp masterminded a rampant Liverpool performance as they thrashed Manchester City 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium

the improvement in this team in, what, two months is unbelievable! Klopp has done wonders with a squad that looked tired, listless and baffled by what they were asked to do.

don't get me wrong I think there is lots of work to do but the team looks totally different to the team from the start of the season.

Well, I didn't lump it on, but I cashed out for a decent profit after the Skrtel smasher!

Did it take Rodgers's removal to finally bring an end to the ghost of Luis Suarez that hung over Liverpool all last season and into this one as well?

I hate it when ex players think they can walk into the Premier League as a manager because they used to play in th division, in the end they get shown up because tactically they have never properly learnt and can't motivate a losing side.

Has there been any manager that has retired gone straight into the top division and walked it?
