Definitely deserved something from it. Perch's best game. Hall's best game (he seems to get better and better). Onouha best game in ages. Didn't realise Yun was playing though until 2nd half. Worried that things like last minute pens, red cards, are a sign of a relegation battle. Put another way, when did any top team concede a last minute pen that actually meant anything? Can't blame anyone for the defeat, just sheer bad luck/timing.
Yes, it was a good performance and if Austin was playing we probably would have won or at least come away with a point. Reason to be optimistic until the next manager comes along and ****s it up. Shame Warnock couldn't hang around until the end of the season at least.
So Austin had a "minor" calf strain ? if he would have played through that, we win last night. Think he is protecting himself for his move to a lower half premier side at the end of the season.
yes have to agree much better than that garbage put up by ramsey certainly warnock has ticked all the boxes every team in the division seeing that realises we are now a force and will almost certainly get into the play offs this season if not next season warnock will destroy all opposition beating everything that moves also clearly here you can see we can sell austin in jan for eight million we dont really need him any more because unlike ramsey warnock will sign another one or two strikers just as good as austin managers liked warnock brian clough alex fergusion bill shankley are one in a million i just hope we have enough money top get warnock then sack that idiot D O F Then gentlemen game on goodbye brentford rotherham and blackburn hello chelsea man utd man city and arsenal YES WE ARE BACK WITH A VENGEANCE LED BY OLD BLOOD AND THUNDER WE ARE COMMING FOR REVENGE
Come on. We've played crap and got nothing from the game, and the players deservedly got the treatment they deserved. Last night, the players all put in a shift, we created far more good chances than they did, and we certainly didn't deserve to lose. Give the players some credit for the way they played for each other and the shirt, whatever the result.
I thought we played defensively well till the last 20 minutes, when (inevitably) we started to try and protect the point we hoped we'd gain and gave too much ground. Don't think we can be too optimistic tho', that sour faced Blackwell put out a team without a striker for 80 minutes. What was that all about? It might have worked for Barcelona a while back but the team on the pitch last night had only 6 goals between them all season - and I bet most of them were scored at home. You can't go to places like boro and hope for nil nil, and that's what we did.
I was thinking Blackwell deserves credit last night for managing Colin's team and plan so well in his absence, but that Blackwell "put out a team" I don't believe. Phillips played striker for 80 minutes, and apart from not being able to finish he looked to have given Boro's defense a bit of a run around, a bit more in his way than either Charlie or JET have ever done...
Who knows what's going on in terms of team selection? I just think that when Faurlin played that fantastic ball over the top and Phillips messed it up, JET would have scored.......
If Ramsey had been in charge we'd have won that 3-1. If he'd been in charge for Preston we'd have won 3-0. If ..
We played OK in patches. Didn't think we posed much of a goal threat in the first half but we have certainly looked much more solid at the back since Sir Neil took over. Grant Hall improves with each game and should be the first name on the team sheet at the moment. We looked more threatening in the second half when 'Boro seemed to run out of ideas going forward, and it was a cruel way to lose in the end but you can't argue with the penalty decision. Green would probably have saved the shot but of course we'll never know one way or the other.
