Headed to Moor Lane today to watch Salford City FC. Just wondering how many bother with getting along to non league games and who they go see. 7 poond in for me and 2 for the old fella. Cold day so bovril is likely.
I know Gordon Armstrong goes along to watch South Shields. I'd say I get about 7 or 8 non league games in a season, usually Jarrow Roofing. Anyways, Salfords ground, if you come in through Prestwich Village I'm sure it's straight road down heading in towards Manchester and not to far down you take a right turn which heads in towards a housing estate. Am I thinking of the right place?
Sometimes go along and watch Grimsby in the conference when they have cheap ticket offers on but it costs £18 for an adult if there isn't any offer on so I probably get to about one or two games a year. It's a shame because I'd probably go quite regular but I'm not paying £18 to watch conference football and I feel well out of place when they start with the black and white army songs.
I think if i was in the uk id probably go now. Already been one game on and more to come. But cant be arsed to watch any of them. If it doesnt involve safc i have a severe lack of interest in the prem these days.
I quite enjoy Sunday league Comm. Nee place for the faint hearted like. My playing days are long over.
Yeah mate. I reckon i could get into going to watch it. The lure of the prem is fading. I have spoke about many a time about some of the extortinate amount of money the prem clubs get, should be filtered down the line. Usually i get..the strongest survive line. But 5 or 10% of this new tv deal could make a difference.
I go to quite a lot of Darlo games... I take my lad and still get change out of a tenner (MoD discount!!) The standard is appalling but it's a right good laugh!
