Far too much of the season left to write it off at this stage. Thought tonight wS encouraging in a way, proved there is at least some mettle in our team.
I feel the pain and frustration as we do. Agreed it's still early and it's the championship, anything can happen. You could say that going back up to the prem would be a season wasted until a miracles worth of changes happen to our club on and off the pitch. Oh well, who knows? I will just keep trying to put a brave face on it all for now
Agree with you 100% NLQPR. It was obvious from the end of last season that Ramsey was out of his depth. Our board didn't do anything about him and now we are in a situation where we have changed Managers after a few months of the season. Kevin Blackwell tonight was in temporary charge as our real temporary Manager has some personal issues, whilst we wait to appoint a permanent Manager or head coach depending on whether the new man can report to a director of football. You couldn't make it up.
Just saw the second half last night, was impressed with the passing and movement, something that's been lacking most of this season. Faurlin looked in great form spraying passes around, he seemed to be revelling in his role until he tired. Despite the result it was nice to take some positives from the game, Warnock seems to have brought some organisation to the team, certainly much more effective at the back with Hall the stand-out player. The next month will make or break our season, some tough games against promotion rivals...
Ale seemed lost, out of the game the first half hour, but gradually got into it and I thought he was very good for another 30 or so.
The curse of Sky... Last nine away games on Sky... 0-4 0-2 1-3 1-2 1-3 0-6 0-4 0-1 0-1 F*CK YOU Sky!...
Definitely deserved something from it. Perch's best game. Hall's best game (he seems to get better and better). Onouha best game in ages. Didn't realise Yun was playing though until 2nd half. Worried that things like last minute pens, red cards, are a sign of a relegation battle. Put another way, when did any top team concede a last minute pen that actually meant anything? Can't blame anyone for the defeat, just sheer bad luck/timing.
Yun worked tirelessly off the ball as part of the 5 man midfield. Promising performance I thought. Just need Charlie back and scoring.
Didn't think we were that good, cert should have had jet and poultry up front, borough were there forge taking. Need to make passes count by not giving away after two or so. Could have taken points if properly gone for it.
Looked far better when on the ball. Ned had a good game, some great headers in the first half, Hall was excellent again as others have correctly stated. Its very hard to write much else as the game was so dull I passed out 15 mins into the second half. Only realised we lost it this morning. Bugger. Our shots on goal were a bit speculative though weren't they Sandro had a shot from about 40 yards out, Ale had a free kick straight at the keepers gloves. I could go on. Not a bad performance on the whole but 2 players did have a quiet game, Henry & Fer should have been replaced. I do however concede the point on who could we have replaced them with. I reminded of how Harry shored things up last year with boring but effective tactics, now we just need to be effective. Forget the play offs this season lads & lasses, we can't score in a brothel. BTW Question? Has Rob Green ever saved a penalty for us?
I hate Friday night games they are always dull, the crowds never seem up for it and we always loose. That said it was almost a perfect away performance against one of the favourites. Agree Hall was excellent and Ned was much better than he's been in ages. Even the best player in the league had a decent game. Fer for me offers nothing in that type of game, he's a luxury we can ill afford at the moment, just doesn't graft enough. I know Green has saved at least one pen for us, no idea who again though.
